Not all bunker shots are played the same, pending sand condition, the lie in the bunker (uphill, level or downslope)
Most bunker shots played from the level area, I splash the ball out with a solid thump of the sole of the club.
Uphill, it's more about hitting behind the ball a certain amount to create a cushion of sand between the ball and club face.
