this is nuts!

Also the event where: They have what I imagine must be the shortest par 5 on tour these days at 505 yards.  And unless they have plans to add a tee in the bar or on the roof, its not getting any

It’s from all those free Pimento Cheese Sandwiches he won at The Masters.

Secondary point--I'm not one to put the "choker" label on golfers or any other athlete for that matter. But it certainly is more applicable in a sport like golf. Which is individual and has enormous self-controlled pauses between shots. And it's not looking good for Finau at this point.

I can read. It's heavily implied.

Write better.

The drivable 10th hole at Riviera can lead to an easy birdie or a quick bogey. 👀 TaylorMade Golf players Dustin Johnson, Collin Morikawa and Matthew...

This is amusing only in that they say at the beginning that the rules are first tee shot with driver and then second ball with any club you want ... and then they all hit driver twice. 🙂

We’re not in 2nd grade and going to resort to name-calling. If you would like to reply in a snarky fashion, so be it, but let’s act like adults.

That’s a good article. Finau is very obviously a tremendous golfer. His scoring average is consistently great and he has had a great career. Unfortunately “steady” wins less tournaments than “streaky” in golf. Obviously the higher the base level the less streaky a golfer needs to be to win. He also seems like a real nice guy.
Ricky Fowler is another who has had a long spell of great golf but with very few victories.

    • They probably all woke up at 1:00 AM to watch the tournament and continue watching as they commute to work.
    • Funny thing about Rahm for me, not being an instructor, is that if I didn’t know who he was and saw him swing I’d think he’s angry hack.
    • Every person in Japan, not just golfers. It will be a monumentally huge thing. In past years they've shown the Japanese media following him. It's incredible. Dozens of them. Following one person only.
    • I think every golfer in Japan is going to call in sick if he wins this!
    • Rahm had, I think, only a single 5 on his card today (the pro version of the "no sixes" challenge I guess).   Hideki has only one so far, and at this rate, that'll be the only one.
