It's to bad you're too young for Legend of Zelda and the Adventures of Link. Those games were great on the original NES.

Original NES or the NES64 I loved those games so much.. I will be getting any Zelda game they come up with for Wii U for sure.

Kind of, not TOTALLY. My dad had a SNES when we were growing up, though not an NES. Still, I've played a few of the games in the franchise without much success ( Link's Awakening , Ocarina of Time , Wind Waker HD ), so I'm not sure having played the NES ones would have fundamentally changed my opinion of the franchise.

My first Zelda game was Link to the Past on the SNES. I absolutely love that game. I have it on the Wii virtual console.  I would have been 2 years old when the first Zelda came out ;)

The NES was right in my wheelhouse. I was 8 or 9 when Zelda came out for NES. For its time, it was an incredible video game. I'm sure most of the "best all time lists" rank it in the top 5 or top 10.

Not sure if someone has already started a topic on this but are there any players out there? What games do you play?

Did you try searching using the websites awesome search bar located above? ;)

A general video game thread has already been created,

My apologies. I will from now on. Not use to these forums and did not pay close enough attention.

PC master race. Play Witcher 3 imo.

Came here to say exactly that. I'm not sure I'll be able to wait another 3ish months for Fallout 4 to release.

Here's a divisive question.  Greatest Video Game of All Time?

Most "experts" agree in this category that there are only a couple games that can be considered for the best of all time. It's usually between Super Mario Bros Super Mario 3 Zelda - Ocarina of time Zelda - A link to the past My opinion is this... It's without a doubt that the NES and Super Mario Bros made home console gaming what it is today. Without those 2 things, it may not even exist in its current form and popularity. Obviously I have played many games that I enjoyed more than Super Mario Bros, but it has to be considered for the best of all time given what it did for the home gaming industry. Also, if I had to pick 1 game to play for the rest of my life, it would be Uncharted 2 (also considered a top 15 game of all time).

Greatest of all time is an impossible question for me. So many good times, so many neglected friends and family.

If I had to pick, it would be The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Modded.

The game I have played the most and logged an embarrassing amount of hours on is Destiny ... not calling it the best of all time, but it is the one I would pick currently to be the only I could play.

I can tell you my favorite is Banjo Kazooie. I've bought it on 3 different systems now.

    • Added one birdie today (3 so far) and all the missing pars. So a par challenge would already be over! 🙂
    • My first word is Rates.  I couldn’t think of another word that was R _ _ T _, where you couldn’t use A, S or E. So I assumed the T was at the end and it was either Ru or Ro and the word that came to mind was the one I guessed and it was correct.
    • Day 5: Holy shit! 5pm and there is still daylight, no more lingering Covid fatigue, felt great to go outside and hit some balls finally. Hit 20 balls total. First 10, worked on backswing, multiple rehearsals, and then a slow swing through the ball, just sort of punching it into the net. Next 10 worked on transition move, with multiple rehearsals from top of backswing, and then a less "punchy" downswing, trying to go at about 75% full speed (probably closer to 95% just due to the exhilaration of finally practicing again).
    • I'll say this, and propose two plans. Both end up with about the same amount of "lesson time" but spread out a bit differently. Plan A: "Correct, Confirm, Change" Week 1: 90-minute lesson to make a correction to one main "piece" to your swing. Week 2: 30-minute lesson to confirm that you understand how to practice, that your feels are still good, that you understand the goals and what you should be seeing in mirrors, in a camera, in your ball flight, etc. Weeks 2-6: you seek to make the change permanent. Repeat starting week 7 from the top. Plan B: "Twenty-One Day Salute" Week 1: 60-minute lesson to work on your golf swing. The same as above, but maybe with a bit less depth, because… Week 4: 60-minute lesson to work on your golf swing. Even if you're mid-change, it can be a good time to make sure you know what's what, and to touch base on whether you're doing it "enough" or "slow enough" or whatever. Repeat starting week 7 from the top. In other words, over a six-week period, one plan has you doing 90 and 30-minute lessons, and the other has you doing a pair of hour-long lessons. I think the first one, A, could be quite good. It gets you more contact early, lets you work on it for a week with a checkup, then lets you have the time to ingrain the change on your own.
