Whos gonna win?

Isleworth or
Lake Nona

With this week's tournament finishing on Monday it is questionable what will happen with the Tavistock Cup.

Lake Nona has Els, Goosen, Sorenstam, Immelman, Stenson, Poulter, and Rose. While Isleworth has Appleby, Allenby, Howell, and Creamer. I think Lake Nona has a larger amount of better players (so I've voted for them). Out of the men playing Goosen is currently in the best form (shooting a 64 in the 3rd round of the CA tournament). Each year it seems to be a toss up (who knows if the players take it very seriously). http://www.thegolfchannel.com/core.a...1&select;=25339

you should come and play at my club..lol

The Tavistock Cup is a big event--its as close to the Ryder Cup or the Presidents Cup as you can get

Easy, there, I wouldn't compare it to the Ryder Cup or President's Cup. Not to sound cynical, but this is a money making event for IMG. All the guys aren't playing for personal glory or club pride, they're playing for money and a decent chunk for just two day's pay.

If it were truly to be compared to a Ryder or President's cup, then open it up to the public and let them see the competition. Don't make it a social event where only residents and invited guests can watch it. It's just another way for IMG to make money for themselves and their players. The only benefit we get is to watch Tiger and some other good players wear the most gawdawful golf shirts in the world.

By the way, can those shirts get any more ugly? Every year the Tavistock Cup uni's get uglier and uglier.

I don't either, but sometimes exhibtion matches are where you can take some risks and pull off some crazy stuff. I like the format too.

In my bag are
Hibore XLS 10.5*
Hibore XLS 22* 3i Hybrid
TA7 irons 3-PW, SW
CG11 60* LW VP #5 putter.

its not about the players making money at all! the winning team gets $1million and its split between the players to give to charity! ie each player gets $100,000 to donate to charities of their choosing. The players only get prizes for the challenges like closest to the pin, longest drive and hole in ones.

Also there is no reason for it being open to the public as it is a match between two private courses.

    • Day 364: About an hour and a half practice session. Spent most of it at the range. Did a solid 30 minutes of work on my priority piece, with filming. I think it's improving, but will probably check in on Evolvr to make sure. Then spent the last ~20 minutes putting, working mostly on short putts.

    • Day 79 (19 July 25) - Band rehearsal this morning - got home midafternoon, opted to work more with the magnetic alignment tool with the wedges.  Used it to work on face position at the bottom of the swing arc - followed up with easy pitches up to 50yds.  Seeing better face control and over improved accuracy toward target…session was cut short with pop up rain showers.
    • This is a great discussion. Other parts of the course where there are houses have white stakes and signs. This keeps people from trespassing and hitting shots on their property. There is another county road on the east side of the course that does not have white stakes like the hole I described. I checked the score card and there is nothing to indicate these roadways are OB. I think a county drainage ditch would be considered government right-of-way so it is the peoples land 🤣. But you are in the power industry and know more about those sorts of things than me.
    • Day 3: Worked on backswing. Feel: Matt Wolff, Real: Not yanking it inside and getting it laid off and flat at the top.
