    • Absolutely! YouTube can be a rabbit hole. YouTube is to golf instructors like WebMD is to doctors.  Bad shots happen and you can't afford to dwell on them. Everyone hits bad shots. Better players stay calm and give themselves the best mental framework to hit a recovery shot they are capable of and avoid compounding errors.  If you don't have a reliable punch shot, get one.  After your round, analyze your patterns and go to work.
    • True that... Went a few rounds when nothing was working just using a 7i, putter and a sand wedge. Safest club in the bag for sure.
    • Great point. When we have a bad day ago the course or range, we chase the next hotness rather than figuring out what was slightly off in what we were trying to do. I am guilty of this for sure. Trying to commit to some simple basic ideas this year without all the noise ...
    • For me there are two clubs.  My 4 hybrid and my PW.  And when I am swinging it properly, the driver as well. The hybrid is what I like for longer shots since I can modulate it and get it airborne as well.  The PW is my go to club for pretty much anything inside 100 yards unless I need to get more loft
    • Ended up shooting 80 in the tournament last wednesday. It's a good score, but I should have scored better. I kind of ran out of steam on the back 9. I hit 2/13 fairways (0 with driver) and 6/18 greens (only 1 on the back 9) so it's safe to say my shortgame and putter bailed my out on that one. Shot 78 (40/38) on Bamble Golfklubb (a short 4850 yards par 68, rating 64,7/slope 121, 9 hole course) on Sunday. Not great, but the round certainly had it's good moments. The negative was that I managed to shoot an 8 and a 6 on the relatively short par 5 hole (490 yards) on the course. The putter was not hot either, with 36 putts and 20 of them on my 38 shot back nine......
