Yesterday's Commercial Free US Open Broadcast Was Amazing

I feel like the Jon Rahm news has overshadowed this so I’m giving it its own thread.

Yesterday’s broadcast of the WUSO was one of the best golf viewing experiences I’ve ever had, there were NO ADS. Yes, towards the end there were USGA promotions, but overall the broadcast even outdid The Masters. It was great being able to see most shots of the leaders although I think some shots were missed.

To boot, I actually found the announcing to be pleasant as well. I’m not expecting the PGA Tour to follow suit, but I’ve long since stopped watching regular events, preferring the quick bites you can get off social media, but they can take a page from the USO and make small changes to make its broadcast more palatable.

Absolutely wonderful broadcast! Watched on GC and Peacock stream. Amazing play from the ladies. WOW! Awesome short games, and the amateur Megha Ganne, she is a force to be reckoned with. If I were her, I think I'd play (Maybe) college golf for a while, but turn pro as soon as possible.

This should be the standard for ALL golf broadcasts going forward. Less commentary, less drama, more golf action. Shot tracer is a must.

Will be fun to watch today's final round.
