When I first started running my calves and ankles were so screwed up, so sore, so stiff… I had a hard time walking DOWN stairs. It might take 30 seconds. It was awkward AF.

What a major!  This is easily one of the three best major championship weekends of 2021 so far.

The last thing I’d want is to have Bryson and BK paired on Sunday for the win. I certainly don’t want either of them to win. And it’s not like an MMA or boxing match. Just a couple of whiners who don’t like each other. I’d much rather see BK have a good lead then lose it spectacularly. I’d also like to see Finau finally win. Of course it’d be epic if Phil was leading on Sunday….but that’s not gonna happen. Spieth…another good one. But BK and Bryson? Meh.

Agreed. The problem with Bryson versus Brooks is that they are both heels to a degree. You need a face to go up against a heel, like Spieth or Rory paired with Patrick Reed in the final group on Sunday.

It's certainly a popular cliche these days, but nonetheless I'll say it: I felt that (phantom pains in my legs).

This is why i can't run on concrete. My legs just get destroyed. Knees hurt, calf and thigh muscles will ache for days. Treadmill, not nearly as much.

I know we’re not even through the first day yet and that the guys playing well right now had favorable conditions this morning (softer greens), but the scoring right now makes me wonder a few things:

- is this Torrey is as hard as Torrey back in ‘08?

- are the guys that much better nowadays?

- has equipment had something to do with it?

- a combination of all the above?

- none of the above?

Im happy we arent talking about a  bunch of pitch and  putt par 5's and driveable  par 4's. I  have a feeling par will be a good score when its  over. Koepka  did  fine. Hope  Bubba watson gets  under  par.

Hard to do. With the equipment  like  it  is  now. Courses should  be at  least 7800 yards. I did forget to mention Rahm. My num 3 choice.

Phil ain't winning this thing, guys. C'mon now…

Draft Kings is so nice, They are offering me $0.012 for each dollar to exit my bet.  Only a 98.8% loss if I cashed out.  Should I double down?  😜

Helicopter got pretty close to the shore there.

Better stocked than a big box store.

Watch out for the monsters in the mist - I saw it in a movie.

We have one like that around here.  It certainly feels like it's 7800 yards from the clubhouse to the practice tee.

I find NBC’s 4D feature underwhelming. There’s a drop in resolution and fps. All those cameras I wonder if it takes away viewing room from fans.

Anyone know why so many pro golfers are endorsed by software companies - supply chain, HR, CRM, ERP, etc… ?

Good greens, perfect weather for golf. Even then -1 gets a tie for 11th. If you add 10mph on to the breeze then par becomes a very good score. I watched about 2 hours early and an hour late on and the quality of golf today was great.

    • Played again today, a course I played a couple of times before and broke 90 easily. Shot 86 with 2x ob and one water hazard. The work that I put in the last year really shows and I feel that on the right course on the right day I could break 80 even this year. It probably won’t happen but that’s the goal for next season.    I see that I must work on 100 meters and in. So on one of the hardest holes which is a 440 yard par 4 I drove the ball over 310 and then had a pitching wedge in. It was a bit of an awkward stance but I was just left of the green. Almost chipped in but then messed up the comeback putt and instead of an easy par I made a bogey.    Maybe I’m being too hard on myself looking at the tour averages but I feel like that’s one area of the game I need to clean up - no 3 putts and more up and downs. And I really need to put more work / decide on how I want to pitch and then really let that sink in and finally get the distances for all 4 wedges for 1/2, 3/4 and full swings printed out and stick them on the clubs.
    • Birdied #4 and #12 at Sand Valley last week, as well as #9 at The Links Course at Lawsonia. The 4th hole is the only new addition to my away composite.
    • I understand the need to protect what people perceive to be their freedoms, but I don't think that there is a problem in enforcing things like the wearing of seatbelts or driving whilst drunk etc. I think it SHOULD be mandated, but am realistic enough to know that any government who tried to to this would become very unpopular very quickly. At the very least I think there should be a sort of "vaccination passport" where it became pretty obvious that being unvaccinated stopped you from doing things you like to do - like going to restaurants, sporting events or even your job, which would be an incentive for them to get vaccinated. I kind of think that the greatest freedom you can have is being pretty sure that if you do get the virus it won't kill you. And there's a simple way to achieve that freedom.
    • I hadn't heard that, but given the stupidity of people out there refusing to take it (even for FREE, no less), I'm not surprised. It'll likely be upheld too because, while the case law is old, the case mostly on point has upheld such measures.
    • There's been a lot of stories in the news lately that, because enough people have not been vaccinated (thus starving the virus), we may be headed towards mandates.  Not desirable but the 30% to 40% not vaccinated are keeping Covid-19 rolling right along and harming those who have done their part to help beat down this pandemic.
