Last round I played I told my friend he hit his short putt like Marilyn Monroe...like a dead woman.

Had to spice things up cause he was getting frustrated, and something like that cheered him up quite nicely and he loosened up. :P

What about the Son In-Law Shot Translation: Not exactly what you had in mind but it's OK.

When a playing partner tops one my favorite is "you looked up just as you lunged at it!" I know that one because it was used on me first.

My brother in Law says this on almost every hole........ "A Pitch & a Putt for Par" I look forward to the day when he starts hitting GIR.

For a shot that comes up short I say: "stop trying to hit it and hit it !!" (influence from the Matrix).

My buddy says "Sometimes you just got to get in "dumb jock mode"...don't think, just walk up and hit it!"

I see you put your big girl panties on this morning, ( as said to my son when he drilled a perfect drive off the first tee. Hey I have to try and unnerve him somehow so I have a chance to beat him ) Or when he hits a really nice shot I will just say , oh I missed it, do it again I wasn't watching.. Drives him nuts. Lol except then he will usually tee it up and do it again to show me up. We tend to bag on each other on good shots more so then mishits. Those are just to easy.

"Steak and lobster!" - Friendly joke for when you are killing your opponent(s) in a match. Enough winnings coming your way for an expensive meal when they lose.

"Jackson Heights" - big hook off the tee into the woods.

When your playing partner has just duffed one about 30yds, you say that was pure LOFT that was, they look at you confused and you say Lack Of F------ Talent.

Swimm!!!  Never seen a ball do that yet.

Great Drive!... Since I may not have another opportunity to compliment you this hole.

It's NOT A SKIRT!!!!....   It's a Kilt.

Of all the putts I've seen left short.. that would have been the first I've seen go in.

This actually happened:

Looking for a member's ball... He comes up in a panic.  "I think I just got bit by a snake!"  We look at the suspicious area on his leg, and it looks kind of red and irritated.  I ask him,"Are you in any pain?"  "No, but it itches like crazy!", he replies.  I couldn't help it. The next most obvious question just popped into my mind.  "Which pocket do you keep your money in so we can pay off your bets.  Just in case it was a snake."  Another member nearby said,"I fresh the bet!"

Rough crowd where I come from.
