Three weeks off did the trick, or very much of it.  I only putted on carpet on vacation and missed the week before and the week of but got out there today.  I'm not feeling the impact pain as before. I did feel a tiny bit of discomfort today but only noticed it once, and it was after hitting three consecutive tee shots (it's a practice course and no one was behind me).  I'm hitting the ball a lot better, and am going to try some middle irons soon.  I'll hold off yet on the big sticks until I know it can handle 4 and 5-iron shots.  Longest club used today was a seven on the par 3 course.

Well I got stuck hitting on old worn mats to warm up before playing yesterday.  Sucked.  I hit some good shots but also bashed the mat enough times to bring back the wrist pain. Hit some good shots on the course early, but fell apart quickly and got my back irritated and my wrist to throbbing before it was over. It ached all night.

I'll have to play other courses and simply warm up at that particular course with chipping and sand shots. Should consider grabbing a some tight-ish wraps from a sporting goods store( https://gritroutdoors.com/ is where I've got mine) No more mats at all for me for a while. This is going to put a big limit on the course options now.

I was okay on Top Golf mats for a few hundred shots--but also that was before I'd banged up this wrist.

If you still feeling pain probably didn't recover fully yet. At this point just make sure you're not putting too much pressure on your wrist and maybe warm up properly.

Was good until I chunked a few on the worn out range mat.  Thanks for the comment.

I'll be fine. I'm going down the Manuel de la Torre road now. Everything feels better. Cheers!

    • Day 1: 12/10/2024 I've actually been practicing and working on my game, but now it's time to start this challenge again. I'm coming off a great lesson yesterday with Yoda, ... a bit too technical though 🤣.  So, today I spent like a half hour in front of the mirror working on something I'm going to call PPJ. It's kind of my new priority piece. My plan is to work on it in front of a mirror for a little while until it feels a little less foreign (could be a couple days, could be a month). Then I'll take it to the garage and hit balls into the net again, perhaps a week, perhaps longer.  Then finally I'll take it to the range and see how that goes. My thought is to avoid any focus on where the ball goes for a while. I don't want to make any adjustments to the movement based on ball flight, either consciously or subconsciously unit I get the movement closer to the way I want it. That's the plan anyway.
    • Yep, it was probably, "Another one of those, send it!"
    • Started the Stack recently after toying with the idea for a while For me the grit score is a great idea, you feel a responsibility to stick to the programme. Hopefully see some progress along the lines of other posters. Will keep everyone informed how i get on. For reference I'm a new dad (8 months) and live in Scotland so its very much the off season so i have gone from little if any golf to basically none so I'm realistically stacking at the moment without hitting any balls. My garage doesn't have enough head clearance to hit balls in but i'm contemplating getting a decent net so i can stack and maintain my technique in the off season. Happy stacking, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask!
