This is a good story and would be even better if we had the page from the yardage book for this hole. I was looking at it on Goggle maps, but unforunately there are 6 courses at this club!! Maybe I will call the club later today.

I would be a great lesson to understand the errors in course management that led to this man's personal horror story 😀

 

UPDATE: it was the Marshwood course.

IMHO lesson here = shit happens. He had already tried to course manage this hole with the wind, shape of the hole, and his draw tendency. He accounted for everything as well as he could. Sometimes the golf gods just taketh.  

I am guessing the dude completely abandoned what happened on this hole out of his mind and picked up right where he left off to shoot 74.

Reminds me of Kevin Na's 16 during round one of the 2011 Valero Texas Open.  He wasn't even able to break 80 for the round.
