The butt end of pure grip seems to have a little give compared to those tour velvet or SuperStroke. Is this normal?

Yes, the cap is a bit softer.

Thanks I think I got it right this time. It still feel softer but firm and I don’t feel shaft end.

BTW this is what adapter I’m talking about.

@hoonnirun, That black adapter is the one I use with my inflator. I believe it was labeled as a raft adapter. When I place the club in the vice, it is very easy to use at 50-54 psi.

The general rule is that your middle finger should only lightly touch the palm. If your middle finger is pressing into your palm then the grip is too small.

If you bought the combo Pure grip, it’s a bit harder to install than their other grip’s because the rubber is thicker at the bottom. If you have mask tape or blue painters tape, you can put that on the shaft and the grip will slide on better.

I use the Pure adapter (green thingy). I believe @ChetlovesMer uses something else that works equally well.

What do you mean by "combo"? I have the DTX grips and am not aware of anything combo like the New Decades MC

They came out with a grip like the MCC+4 from Golf Pride last year. But instead of one style top to bottom, it has the DTX in the top half and Pro in the bottom. The bottom section is reduced taper.

I would not switch. I didn’t like the combo. The DTX is a great grip.

I consider that an old myth. It's more about comfort - grip size doesn't materially affect how your wrists/hands work near impact.

Can you back up what you're claiming between the lines?

    • Day 15 - 2024-10-15 Mirror work. Watched one of my D1 players play today (67, plus -1 on the two holes he played to finish up a second-round 72). Well, you know what to work on… 😄
    • Day 166 (15 Oct 24) - Worked with the 6i into the net today.  Focused on the legs - slight knee bend, keeping pressure on lead foot, getting rotation thru contact.
    • No. The Steelers aren't paying either of them very much. They're not gonna get rid of a SB winning QB in case Justin is injured or something.
    • It could be to exhibit for trade bait.   Some teams may be looking for another QB (Miami) and if Wilson plays well, the compensation could be large.
    • Ball strike is king. You hit with a glancing blow (hook or slice), your smash factor just decreases a ton. Having a face to path angle of like 20 degrees versus something like 3 degrees is huge.  Yea, getting in shape is a good idea all around. Power is moving something heavy really fast. So, increasing how much you can lift, then improving on how fast you can move it will improve your power. In general, I think the two biggest tests for distance is like a chest press and standing vertical high jump. Some people are gifted with fast hands, but having good lower body can amplify what you have. Using the ground the correct way really ramps up the rotation speed, and then that can get the clubhead moving faster. Still, the hands do get down from the top of the backswing really fast.  If you start gaining strength and power gains. Knowing how to use the ground properly is important. You can have all the leg strength, but if you are not activating it correctly it is a waste. That is where good mechanics come into play.
