There’s something I figured out about my golf swing and wanted to see what others thought. At the top of my backswing, if my feet are not in view over my front shoulder, I hit the ball solid.  If I do see them, my swing is susceptible. Not sure if this is sound technique. I realize everyone’s build is different. I’m 5’8 175 lbs. Any advice?

I'm not sure I'm picturing what you mean. Do you over-turn or lift when you can't see your feet?

To be honest, I’m looking at the ball in my backswing. I have no idea if my feet are in view or not, nor do I want my eyes to drift 16” away from my focal point milliseconds before I’m about to hit it.

Sorry for the confusion, but what I mean is at the top of my backswing if I see my feet peripherally, I don’t hit the ball so bueno. I usually catch a glimpse to the base of my toes. But if they are entirely out of view I hit the ball good.

Is this one of those jokes where you attempt to get people to think about/notice something in their golf swing to mess them up?😬

I agree with @billchao, if I take my eyes off the ball I usually have bad contact.  @Mixter7, is it possible that the susceptible swing is not from how you lined up but instead from your eyes straying form the ball to cause the feet to come into view?
