What a round so far. The two ahead switching places three times, and a bunch of players at -7 to -9 making a charge.

This is what makes a final round exciting. Reminds me of the US Open last year, which was also a nailbiter.

Yeah, I’m worried about Rory’s driver. He’s gotten out of jail a few times, but it can so easily turn nasty.

You don’t want a driver going all over the place on the back nine.

Only thing that would make Rory closing out even more satisfying would be if Fatrick did something spectacularly implosive, like triple 18 or something.. heh heh.

Surprising hole placement on 16? Curious why they moved it from its traditional lower left spot.

apparently they moved the hole to commemorate Jack’s 40ft putt in 1975

Crazy crazy.  Wasn’t expecting Bryson to stumble, really thought it was going to be a gladiator battle.  Surely wasn’t expecting Justin Rose to end up in the lead??  And Rory - that shot on 15 was epic, was as good as the fluff into the creek on 13 was bad.  man o man

If it’s not to be this time either, at least he’ll lose it to Rose. New champion either way. It’ll be tough for whoever loses it. Rose has had his chances at this course without getting the win, so it would be a worthy winner.

      I'll say again… you have a different definition of "temporary" and "speed" than I do. For your handicap to go up FOUR shots means you were through the soft cap and approaching the hard cap. If you did it over 15 rounds (leaving five potentially lower scores), then you played REALLY bad golf over that stretch because it's likely that only three or four of the best of those 15 rounds were actually counted, so if the three or four best scores RAISED your handicap five shots (three at 100%, 2 at 50% once you hit the soft cap), then that's some BAD golf over an extended (not temporary) period of time. And here's the thing… play 15 good rounds, or even just EIGHT, and it'll DROP again, even faster. Handicaps still drop faster than they rise, not only because of the way we calculate it (best 😎 but because of the caps. Right… it's not like you're not needing the shots. You're playing really badly, and your handicap is still lagging behind your play.
