I know it's just a towel, but it's awesome.

Those are really nice golf towels.  I've been looking at getting one since I lost my last towel a few weeks back on the range. (facepalm)  Just need to get around to ordering one.

Bought a complete set of Pure midsize grips because I am tired of my Crossline Full Cords killing gloves in a matter of a few rounds.  The Pure's really feel nice and have just the right tackiness.

A Bag Boy Quad cart http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11289300&cp;=4406646.4413989.4414127. I used a Bag Boy Sidekick last year. The Quad has a smaller footprint and folds a little easier.

A putter for my 2 year old son that is about 24" inches long.  Went to a friend's country club with our sons to play nine holes and thought he'd better have something to hit the ball with.  They spent the entire nine holes playing on rocks, chasing bunnies, and adding up their score (as shown on my profile picture from that day)  Mot importantly, they had a blast.

Also got a pair of purple (only color in stock) tour sticks that day.

So last summer I bought a new Ping putter from Golf Galaxy but they had lost the headcover. While I received a discount for the disappearance, I still needed to find one. Ebay prices were $20 + shipping. Well, guess what I found in the lost headcover bin at my course today? Mint condition and FREE!

Another surprise in the pro shop today, they called it the "lucky shoe size sale". All Callaway shoes $30, size 9 only. These are the Razors and they sell everywhere else for $185.

And it hit 70 degrees today! It was a good day.

I stopped in at the local 2nd Swing and traded a couple vintage Ping Ansers from my stash for a Spalding TP Mills 12 putter and a Slazenger putter from the bargain bin. Both of them looked good to my eye and fit my setup better than the Ansers. The last of my Pings, an Anser 3, is still my everyday gamer, though I think the TP Mills may knock it out of the bag.

Bought a pair of FootJoy street style shoes.  They seem really comfortable and hope they are because I have about had it with the pain caused by the traditional golf shoes I have worn.

    • I'm sure I'm the weirdo in this. But since this thing started I've been saying the kids getting Covid is MORE DANGEROUS than the adults. Since the beginning I've said that if somebody caught COVID and immediately turned bright blue, we'd have this thing licked in no time. Just avoid all the people who are bright blue. The problem is that so many people are asymptomatic.  The trouble with kids getting Covid is many fold.  As a rule they don't show symptoms so they run around infecting everyone they meet. Schools are giant petri dishes in the best of times. One kid comes in with green snot running down his or her face, in two days every kid in their class has green snot running down their face.  Grandmas and Grandpas (generally the more vulnerable population) want nothing more than to hug on their grandkids.  Grandmas and Grandpas travel all over to see their grandkids, or parents truck their kids all over the US to see grandparents.  Typhoid Mary was a real person. Gene Tierney was a real person. Asymptomatic does NOT mean you don't have it.  Once again, I go back to the conversation I had with my mother-in-law. She started with - "I heard kids can't get it."  - "No, kids can get it. They just don't know they have it."  - "Oh, ... well, I heard kids can't get it. So, I'm sure I won't catch if from the kids."
    • Yes, morons continue to exist. 🙂
    • I think there's a good chance it will be substantially lower.  There's a subset of parents who ended up getting the shot, weren't really scared of getting covid, but felt it was the right thing to do, would make life easier in some ways, and would rather not get sick than get sick of course.  That was when the story was to get the shot and life goes back to normal.  Now, efficacy  numbers going down, boosters needed, vaccinated folks getting sick etc..  I think some of those folks are not going to see the benefit of getting their young kids a shot that works for a few months against a virus with statistically an extremely low risk of affecting them.  Couple that with all the kids in this situation who have recently have covid with natural immunity.
    • I love a good podcast, looking forward to listening.
