This year I got out 3 times/week. Driving range on Sat AM, 18-hole league play on Wed, and driving range or 9-hole practice round on Mondays. Occasionally I'd have a 4th day at the driving range or on the course some weeks. But golf is seasonal where I live (little if any play for 5 months or so). :-(

I'll generally play both Saturday and Sunday, but sometimes it's a nine-hole round or a spin around Kittyhawk's executive course if people got other plans for me.

Mid-season, which happens to be a light time at work, I may get to the range once or even twice. During the busy seasons, practice never happens.

Ill play anywhere between 27-72 holes a week when I'm at the peak of my season. Maybe one hour long range session in there someplace.  But I'm not even going to break 30 complete rounds this year due to injuries and surgery.

This year I will approach 100 rounds.  That does not include simulator rounds.  I think I'll have 50 of those by the end of the year.

Overall a great year for golf!

  • 4 weeks later...

I am a REALLY occasional golfer. For example, my goal for 2018 is at least one round per month/12 or more rounds for the year.

For me that would be a lot, not by choice but availability. However, I also hope to hit the range on a weekly basis.

I have posted 35 rounds this year, not too bad considering I did not touch a club until May 2. Add in probably 35-40 times I just ran out on the course in the afternoon to play a few holes or the numerous practice sessions and it hasn't been too bad a year. I used to be up over 100 rounds a year, but family commitments have kept me off the course a lot more in 2017.

I play just about every day after work weather and daylight permitting.  A lot of the time its only 9 holes.

Ended up posting 109 rounds in 7 months, so I post a round on my handicap about once every other day.  That doesn't count practice rounds, scrambles, etc.

not nearly enough. Maybe twice a month, but once in awhile, couple of times in a given week.
