I just played a ton of ping pong at a graduation party. It's so addicting, plus I'm actually not that bad. I'm thinking about about purchasing one soon. Any of you ping-pongers out there?

yea im pretty dirty at ping pong...

Driver Ping G10 10.5*
Hybrids Ping G5 (3) 19* Bridgestone J36 (4) 22*
Irons Mizuno MP-57 5-PW
Wedges Srixon WG-504 52.08 Bridgestone WC Copper 56.13
Putter 33" Scotty Cameron Studio Select #2

I played quite a bit in high school and college, but I play once or twice a year nowadays. It's just not the same playing against a wife or 8-month old though. If I had a ton of friends close by, it would be a good investment for sure. It's an addicting game to say the least.

I play enough to know to call it table tennis instead of ping pong.. Awesome sport for hang eye coordination and footwork. Me and my best friend had insane rallies in our garage back in the day.

I even went to a club in seattle were actual great players play (ran by the number 1 player in America)... I was undefeated in my town, but didnt' win a single game my first couple times there....

Apparently not many others seem to...

i used to play all the time. where i used to live, there was a city championship, and my best friend won it at age 10. i was taught by him, and we would have some good matches. it sucked playing at home, because i could easily win left handed giving 10 or more points to my dad or sister. we moved, and there was no room for the table, so i didn't play. i did, however, play at a friends house after not playing for 4 years, and dominate.

we are getting our porch redone, so soon i can play all the time!

I have a top that goes on top of my pool table. It seems a shame to cover a $5k pool table with a $200 table tennis top, so usually the top (in two parts) sits against a wall.

I've never found those very good. Cant it tip over very easily?

How could it tip over? You set it on top. It's a 9' pool table - heck, it's a few inches bigger than the table tennis tops.

Yeah, but it comes in handy for protecting that $5k pool table when beer pong is played...

Table tennis used to be a ritual at my dads home, but it's unfortunately gone by the wayside.

I think I'm going to try to get into this a little bit. @david_wedzik and I bought some mid-level (or lower-mid-level) paddles recently and a few more competitive types have joined and play on our downstairs table at Golf Evolution.

http://www.eriettc.com is a few miles from my house and plays Thursday and Saturday evenings. I might check it out tomorrow.
