Dana. Gone.

That was a bit of a surprise. As much as I like some of the others left I thought Dana had a pretty good game. But she had 2 chances to beat or tie Jeanne and another 2 versus Julie and she couldn't do it. Too bad, but hopefully she will one day prosper on the Futures Tour.

I did think the show gave a bit of it away when they were showing Julie "Long Ball" Wells' interview and she said something along the lines of, "If I were paired up with Ashley there would be trouble". So when Julie squared off against Dana I remembered that remark and it made me think that she would not have said that if she were not still in the show where there would be a possibility of being paired with Keg Legs in the future.

It was nice to see some almost real golf being played (alternate shot) and good to see Becky finally make a few good swings.

Any predictions for next week? The easy pick to go would be Julie, but she has really done well for being a last minute entry with so little power. Jeanne has had some success on the Futures tour so I think she will last. So that leaves me with Kim as my pick to say, “bye bye”. That will certainly suck, as she has a great body and I love the accent.

I'm picking Kim to go next week too. Not a bad body for the age and situation (having had kids and all that), but accent? Really? What accent?

If I had to pick an order, it'd be: 1) Ashley 2) Becky 3) Julie 4) Jeanne 5) Kim Jeanne gets a little too frazzled. Seriously, that putt she hit that didn't even get halfway there?!? That cost them immunity and it cost Dana her spot on the show...

I think becky will win because she just seems so relaxed, I think it will be between her and that chunky girl. I think kristi or the australian girl was the most consistent though, I can't believe she got out so early, she was kind of like bart from bbII. Anyways I have a comment on that model girl. She looks like the devil or some deranged psychopath child rapist. lol. hahahahahahahahahahahah, but she is pretty scary looking and has this wierd voice, also if you listen to what she says, she has a horrible attitude problem. lol, i get pissed when i see peopole like her, plus her little poem was the most retarded thing i heard of in a while. OMG, i hate her, she's like the most retarded, golf deficient, scary looking, emotional, retard in the world, oh well, at least i know others don't like her either.

Well here are my predictions:

1. Kim
2. Jeanne
3. Julie
4. Ashley

I thought Becky should've probably switched iron to a club stronger..seemed like maybe the wind kicked up because she was way short no..Jeanne definitely sucked it up and wow.

Julie and Ashley both equally bug..I really think they both don't have it..humility goes along ways I say. My heart goes to Kim to take it but Jeanne will probably win it.

I really wasn't surprised that Becky lost. I was surprised that Jeanne didn't club up on that one challenge. It's kinda poetic justice that Becky went. She already lost. But for sake of surprise I can see why they gave her a chance. (I watch survivor).
I agree that Julie and Ashley both bug. I really can't predict who will win...but I would be happy if it were Jeanne OR Kim.
I think it would be kinda cool if Kim won the whole thing after having to step away from the game for a little while.
I like it when nice people win........Jeanne or Kim that would be cool

Since the winner gets free transportation and entry into all Futures Tour events this year, couldn't you assume that the winner is the one who has played the most Futures Tour events this year? I bet with a little research, you could figure out who won...

They've had 3 events so far (and one starts in two days).

Ashley , who won one already, has played in all three. So has Jeanne .

Kim hasn't played any events yet and Julie isn't even listed as a 2006 member. So... Jeanne or Ashley would be my guess...

I know Ashley is a good golfer and all...but I hope she loses :(...GO KIM...I think she is the most skilled of all of them...then Jeanne then Julie...then Elmo and Minnie Mouse...then maybe Ashley.

I don't think Kim was the best player. Becky probably was, but had a bad week.

I still say it's going to be either Ashley or Jeanne, because now both have played in all FOUR Futures Tour events. Julie is still not a member, so I bet she's the next to go. How crushing it would be for her to face Ashley in the finals and lose. Then again, maybe she has a hand in knocking Ashley out in the semis and then suffers a let-down against Jeanne in the finals... But either way, I'd put $1k on Jeanne/Ashley to win at 1:2 odds. Easily.

Six holes of golf over one hour. You could literally play that many with a partner in that time, so yeah, it drug on.

Yeah, I agree, and the silly previews hyped it up too. It seemed they had a commercial every five minutes to really stretch out those six rounds of pre-recorded golf. And where were the cat fights? I already saw the blonde girl shake her head around and say "she has a lot of fight in her" around a thousand times, not that it would count as entertaining if it were my first.

I was rooting for Becky the whole time. I love her attitude and approach to golf. Now that she's gone, I think my sentimental favorite will by Jeanne. I can't stand Ashley and Julie is not much better.

Okay I'm watching it right now..one thing that bugs me about Julie is during the confessionals she talks a big, cocky game but then at crunch time she can't bring it..it's so opposite her humble personaility during the show..

Ok, don't want to spoil it for any of ya but I say:

Jeanne doesn't win because of her nerves.

Julie doesn't win because of her skill/lack of.

Ashley wins because she seems she can handle the pressure.

Jeanne is almost attractive. But then there are the camera angles that make her look like she has a mans legs (but shaven). Not as bad as Keg Legs mind you (Ashley) but not sexy to say the least.

I am surprised how well Julie did, although her obsession with Ashley got to be annoying there at the end. We all know Ashley is annoying, you don't have to keep telling us :p But for someone that needs a 3 wood to go 200 yards she did okay.

I was also surprised to see how long Kim lasted. Got to give her credit - Out of the game for so long but she still hung in there (and what a body...). Credit that to experience I guess, plus she handled her nerves pretty well. Unlike most the others she admitted to being nervous at times, which was refreshing. The others certainly had moments of anxiety but egos would not let them fess up to it.

Since we all hate Ashley I am sure we are all pulling for Jeanne, but the safe bet is on Kegger.

Couldnt disagree more. Kim? Yikes no thanks. While Jeanne is not a beauty by "hollywood" standards, I think she might top that show. A difference in taste I presume.

I do have to agree about Ashley's legs, looks like many a squat has been done in her day

My money is on Ashley to win. I also don't see her being that rude or aggressive to the other players but I may be missing something. I travel a lot and can see how within a week's time personalities can clash. What was annoying was Julie's "Hate Ashley" routine and I think that ultimately it messed more with Julies mind than anyone elses.

Jeanie is a great player but I see Ashley handling the pressure better. While I did.do enjoy the calendar soot and prettiness of the golfers I'm more interested in watching great players play golf.

    • I did read the fine print tonight. It said replace with “similar features & function”.  8 yeas ago my purchase had features that today are available on the lower end models and the current version of my model has more “bells & whistles” than what I got 8 years ago.  So I am thinking they honored the agreement and I can’t argue the offer. since getting a credit for the full purchase price all I am really out over the past 8 years was the cost of the extended warranty, which was less than a low end  treadmill would have cost me. now the question is which model to replace with.  I’ll stay with Nordic Track or I forfeit the $1,463 credit so I will get Nordic Track.  And they honored the warranty and were not hard to work with which is a plus.
    • Generally speaking, extended warranties are a terrible deal and should almost always be avoided. They are a huge profit center for the companies that offer them, which should tell you almost everything you need to know about how much value most consumers get when purchasing them.  This is correct, and the old adage applies - only buy insurance when you can't afford the loss. This usually doesn't apply to most consumer goods.  To your second question, no I don't believe the offer is fair. They are replacing it, but it is not being replaced at "no cost to you". Since the amount being disputed (over $500) is non-trivial, I would probably push the issue. Don't waste your time on the phone with a customer service agent or a supervisor. They have probably given you all they have the authority to do. Rather, I would look at the terms of your agreement and specifically legal disputes. The odds are you probably agreed to binding arbitration in the event of a dispute. The agreement will outline what steps need to be followed, but it will probably look something like this.  1. Mail the Nordic Track legal department outlining your dispute and indicate you are not satisfied with the resolution offered.  2. Open up a case with the AAA (American Arbitration Association), along with the required documentation. 3. Wait about 4-5 weeks for a case to be opened - at which point someone from Nordic Track's legal department will offer to give you the new model at no cost to you.  They certainly don't want to spend the time and energy to fight you over $500. 4. Enjoy your new Nordic Track at no cost to you. I recently entered binding arbitration against a fairly large and well known company that screwed me over and refused to make it right. In my demand letter, I made a pretty sizeable request that included compensation for my time and frustration. Once it hit their legal department, they cut me a check - no questions asked. It was far cheaper to settle with me than to send their legal team to defend them in the arbitration.
    • I never thought of looking at it on multiple purchases like you said.  Yes, the extended may help me on 1 or 2 items but not the other 5 or 6.
    • Day 84 - Forgot to post yesterday, but I did some more chipping/pitching.    Back/neck were feeling better today, so I did a much overdue Stack session.
