Why was Zuras banned? For disagreeing with iacas?

Honestly... look at his posts... His "opinions" on knee surgeries and recovery time were ridiculous and border line insane.

No idea why he was banned but his posts in this thread were complete BS.

Tiger needs the time off to fix his swing. His swing is awful and against everything a pro would teach to a student.

I wish I could swing like him. Must be working with 65 PGA Tour Titles and 14 Professional Majors. Obvious characteristic of an "aweful" swing in my book.

An awful swing can produce great results. Look at Jim Furyk.

I don't think Tiger's swing is the reason for winning all those tournaments. His putter is. Go ask your club pro if you should start fanning the club.

oH n0eZ here comez all da internet kiddie tiger fangirls.

You are providing a whole lot of entertainment, which I shall sorely miss if you ARE banned? Is this true, anyone?

You're entitled to express your view. Others are entitled to think of it what they will. I will agree with you to the extent you believe that there is excessive adulation of Tiger on the part of some people. But so what? And what else is new - another age, another hero. If you'd been round the block as often as I, you'd have seen it all before like me - in essence if not in all the specifics. Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose. p.s. if BS in posts were a criterion for banning, just how many would be left standing?

He might win the U.S. Open, but after that I have a feeling we wont be seeing him until the Open Champioship. TGC is promoting "2 weeks of Tiger" at the Buick Open and AT&T; National. I have a feeling he is going to take a lot of time off after the U.S. Open with his knee issues.

Disagree. Remember he played and won with the injury. He pulled off the must have shots. I remember the announcer saying: "Tiger needs to hit the fairway in order to ...." and "Tiger's gotta land it left of that ...." and in all cases he did it. Pulled off the magic- from the rough, from the cartpath or from the sand. Also, a lot of people get sick or hurt and comeback to what they were doing before and become more successful. As they say in nyc, forgettaboutit. Tiger's gonna win when he comes back as sure as the price of gas is going to hit 5 bucks!

Yeah, a lot of pressure. Rise above it. Harness in the good energy, block out the bad. Harness energy, block bad.

Disagree.

What exactly are you disagreeing with? What the guy said was what turned out to be true.

First off, let me just say, that the Sandtrap forum, is the best 19the hole in golf. Where else can you get golf advice, rant about something, or debate golf with the entire world. Sponsors and advertisers be advised: Sandtrap readers spend money on golf despite the downturn in the economy. I myself have spent well over 2K on golf this year.

Just to clear it up my post: I was disagreeing with the whole Tiger is done notion. I was disagreeing with the idea that the injury is career ending. He will get the required medical attention, physical therapy... etc, then come back and win majors.

I think he was saying for the foreseeable future (i.e. a few months), which turned out to be true (and then some).

Maybe you quoted something different than what you thought you did.

This topic got out of control. People apparently do not know how to read. I was partially right. I never thought Tiger would ever skip a major.

In my opinion I think if Tiger could have his way he'd only play the four majors. The other tournaments don't mean anything to him (this includes the PLAYERS and the FedEx Cup playoff events). It's just extra money in his pockets. 65 PGA TOUR victories is great, but will be nothing compared to that magical number 19.

    • Reviving this old thread as it seems most relevant to my question on "what is OB". I was playing a casual round by myself yesterday early in the AM. I pull my tee shot that lands near a road and then rolls across the road to the far side. I tee another up and land near the fairway. I was going to forget about the first tee shot, buy a man taking an early morning stroll points out where my ball ended up. I take a look and it is a great lie. I put it to 15 feet with my 54*, just miss my birdie putt and have a tap-in for par. Or do I? Here is the plan view of the hole: There are no white stakes anywhere, so I didn't think anything of it at the time. Here is a street view: Now I picked up my 2019 version of the Rules of Golf and found this  2.1 Course Boundaries and Out of Bounds: Golf is played on a course whose boundaries are set by the Committee. Areas not on the course are out of bounds. The second sentence leads me to believe that the ball was out of bounds as it was not on the course. It is unusual for me to be there, but lots of people wind up over there. I have a two-day tournament coming up here, so I want to be prepared. I suppose I could inquire in the clubhouse about the composition of the "committee" and then ask them, but short of that what does this community think?

    • This is a fun leaderboard. I don't feel particularly vested in anyone specifically albeit we all know one man is looking like he will most probably put this championship to sleep by the time the day is over today. On a different note, I've changed my tune on BDC in the last year or so. I found myself applauding and genuinely happy for him for making the cut yesterday. Iffff a LIV guy wins this year I would rather it be him. Unlikely Scottie who seems to have supreme control of all his levers, he lives a bit more on the edge and yet has the perseverance and might I say, infectious positivity of a small time hustler. Dude just keeps hammering away. Love it.
