Vijay anyone?

the question you have to ask yourself is "are the 2 back to back playoff wins equal to the 2 majors by Paddy?"

No. And look at his record in the other majors. Not even close.

There is actually a debate here? It's a slam dunk for P. H., being a fan or not. Two majors in the style he won was equalled by no one this year.

So you guys feel that Paddy's missed cuts at Deutch and Barclays, and T55 at BMW, leading to him not making the Tour Championship, are of less relevance than Vijay having a T-14 (Masters) and 3 missed cuts in Majors. You are of the "Majors make the POY" school. Of course Paddy's "comeback win" in the Open was against the guy who loves to give the 2nd place guy the win on Sunday.

Others have the "what have you done for me lately" attitude...leaving Vijay as the front runner.

Then there are the "total wins" people...leaving Tiger a possibility. And taking into account he only entered 6 tournaments, winning 4 (one Major) and finishing 2 (Masters) and 5 (WGC)..all quality tournaments....he still has a real case.

I, personally, would love to see Tiger win it. I dont like the woodchuck or smiley at all, but with Vijay winning the FedEx hands down, I think the voting may be pretty close. Majors vs what have you done for me lately. Vijays chances may ride on how he plays the Championship after his poor outing in St Louis.

The answer to that question is a RESOUNDING no. 2 playoff wins are very nice...the points championship is also nice. However, it does not compare to winning 2 of 4 majors. Not even close.
