4 subs? WOW! I'd love to see some pics of your setup. Everybody 5that comes over for MNF can't believe how good the 720p looks and how BIG my screen is!

I don't really have a "set up" but we bought a 52" Sharp HD LCD for the living room last October . . . and I have yet to see my Chiefs win a game on it yet! (They lost their last nine games last year!). We also have a 32" Sanyo Tube HDTV downstairs in our office.

Before anyone asks, I wanted to go LCD instead of Plasma because we have a lot of windows in our living room and the reflection would have sucked! When it's time to replace the one downstairs, it WILL be a Plasma (better picture, but I won't have a window problem). This is not a projection unit (or close to a Home Theater) but I am thinking it works within this thread.

That's OK, we'll see 'em win week 1 against the Pats!

I've got Bose & B&O; kit so the answer would be, no...according to most audiophiles I've met!

My father has a bit of a thing about Linn gear, a rather nice Akurate system in the home office. I'm jealous. http://www.linn.co.uk/

I wouldn't say it is a high dollar, big name setup, but I use to play in bands a few years ago and we built a home studio to record demos for ourselves and other bands. When I left the band my share of our band account was paid out in the gear we had for recording. So here it is:

Alesis Studio 32 Mixer
M-Audio Delta 1010 A/D convertor hooked to PC for recording/mixing
Handful of mics(Shure sm57's sm58's sm94 8800, MXL V67, and a few others...drummer kept the Shure drum package of sweet mics)
Ross 5 channel headphone amp
JVC & Sony headphones(several pairs)
Korg ToneWorks digital tuner
Logitech z680 1000 watt surround speaker setup
42" LCD Monitor(used for recording/mixing/PC monitor and TV)

All the audio stuff I built in to a custom desk using a countertop, rack mounted the hardware and cut a hole in the countertop to flush mount the mixing board. It mostly collects dust nowadays, but I still get the urge to mess around every now and again.
