I'm close!  Everything in my sig, including a stand bag, was $550.  Everything new except for the fairway metal.

Nice looking set!

I'm sorry if this is overdone. I just want to compare. I've been debating about adding a 3 wood to my bag, and I just want to see if people are still using their fairways, but here it is:

Driver: Cobra S2 10.5

Baffler: Cobra Baffler Rail Hybrid 4, 22

Irons: Cobra Gravity Back 3-PW

Wedge: Cobra Spin Wedge (really old one, but it works like a hammer)

Putter: Scotty Cameron TEI3 and Scotty Cameron 97 CLN Proto

Balls: Whatever's cheap

Golf Towel: My wife's current, clean kitchen towel

last couple months of the season I put alot of time into learning to hit a 3 wood.  I hit mine within 20 yards of my driver, but contrary to what everybody else seems to be able to inherently do - mine isn't much more accurate than the driver.      I love the club though - it's a pleasure to hit off the tee - just needs more work to get comfy with it.     Best feeling in golf IMHO is striping a 3w off the deck ...

It depends on the setup and how many clubs I want between my longest iron and my driver. If I'm carrying a 2-iron then I only need one extra club, but it also depends on the 2-iron. My SGI Cleveland 2-iron can be hit out of the rough so I'll carry a 3-wood. My Mizuno MP-11 2-iron isn't as good out of the rough so I picked up a 17 degree hybrid for that setup.

Eventually I'll probably go Driver, 3w, 2h, 3h, 4-PW, etc.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

They are a rather large component manufacturer, aka Golfworks. Ralph Maltby, the designer, founded Golfworks. He has designed for some of the large well known companies in the past.

Ah ok, they aren't carried in any retailer I've been in or local shops. I've never seen them online either. As long as they are quality and work for you nocomplaints!

Your not looking hard enough. Ralph Maltby is HUGE in the component & golf equipment world in general. A most respected designer. They are all over online. Check out Golfworks.com. Top quality equipment or just Google "Maltby golf equipment".

One thing I notice is that you have a big gap in lofts from your Driver to Hybrid, 10.5 - 22. You should probably consider picking up a 17* 3 Wood or a 17* hybrid to bridge that gap for your longer shots.

I have it all in my lists, but that could change.... Here's a snapshot of what I currently have: Adams Insight XTD A3 Adams Insight Tech A4 Fairway Wood, 15* Adams Idea Tech A4 Hybrid: 19* and 22* Adams Idea Tech a4r Iron Set: 4 - PW Titleist Vokey Tour Chrome Spin Milled Wedges (pre-2011), 52.08 and 56.12 Odyssey Golf- White Hot Tour #9 Putter TaylorMade Burner Tour Ball I'm not brand loyal, but somehow Adams showed up repeatedly. (Well, when I look for hybrids and longer I usually start with Adams, so that skews those clubs in their favor.) @LBlack14: Almost thought I was looking at my bad for a split second, with a4r and Adams a4 Insight Tech 3-W in a black bag.

Cleveland Launcher 8.5* Extra Stiff

3 Wood 15* Iron Shaft (no brand, came with my beginners set from Academy)

4/5 Hybrid Iron Shaft 20* (again no brand)

3-PW Titleist 695 CB Forged Irons

Titleist Vokey 52* and 60*

Golfmate 56*

Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5

Titleist NXT Balls

Titleist Midsize 9.5" Staff Bag

As far as the 3 Wood talk goes, I absolutely love a 3 Wood, it may have something to do with the iron shaft on mine but I choose it over my driver for accuracy all the time, but my home course is pretty short and narrow so I tend to favor it.
