Matt Ryan is looking sharp thus far in the season. pretty impressive throw today with seconds left to put the falcons in field goal range. they have beat green bay and the bears in the last two weeks.

any believers or doubters?

You don't think they got a touch lucky having the incredibly clutch Elam and a shallow kick from the overconfident Bears?

carolina is looking sharp this season and probably will take the division

luck is definately a contributing factor whenever the falcons win a game

beating green bay on the road (even though rogers didnt start) and scoring 20+ on the bears defense are both good signs. most nfl analysts picked them to win 4 games all season (which is still a possibility) and they are already 4-2

hopefully matt ryan will be a qb they can build around in the upcoming years

Based on today's performance against the Bears I think that Matt Ryan will be a big name QB in a few years, and he will have a great career.

Being a Saints fan I am not a fan of anything good the Falcons, Panthers, or Bucs do. However I must say that Matt Ryan looks sharp. He is a rookie coming into the league and while he does have a retty good running game to help he is not just managing the game. He can make almost all the throws, his timing will get better, and the game will slow down for him.

Of course Drew Brees is all world this year, if only we had a kicker we would could be 5-1 or possibly even 6-0 instead of 3-3 this year. I think the Panthers are probably the second best team in the division, as Tampa's D cannot win every game for them and Jeff Garcia just does not scare anyone.

Believer here! They'll at least have a much improved season over last year. It's nice to see the change after everything that happened last year...

I will say that picking up Matt Ryan was the best thing the falcons have done. I do think that the panthers will win the division, but I think that the falcons could potentially be a superbowl contending team again in the next couple of years.

Your Boy Matt Ryan has a lot of potential. I think he'll be a good quarterback soon. That said, he's got his work cut out for him this weekend. Go Birds!! (eagles, that is)

I haven't seen much from Matt Ryan that any quarterback couldn't do. The Falcons are benefiting from a 180 degree turnaround in the offensive line. That's the issue that never got addressed with Vick because of his legs, and that's the reasons smart fans wanted them to take an offensive lineman. They ended up addressing both of the concerns with Ryan and Baker, but the credit goes to Smith for turning around the offensive line and returning to the basics of football: dominate up front and win the game.

thats a decent compliment for a rookie quarterback because that means he's doing everything that all the other pro qb's are doing. i'll take that on sunday.
