i was looking around in my garage for something for school and came across an old taylormade burner 3 wood. i was like ''holy crap, look at that clubhead!!''..it was so frickin small! i decided ill go out to my back yard and just see how it hit(i have 5 acres). i took a couple maxflis and noodles up to hit. i stroked it! it hardly made a sound, but that ball flew..it was crazy. this club will be in my bag until i get my new wood...its a good replacement!

but has anyone experienced just hitting a couple balls with an older model club and actually hitting it just as well as anything youve hit?? idk if its just me..

My buddy brought this old Arnold Palmer 3 iron to the range one day 2 years ago after he found it in his dad's garage. The thing looked pretty ancient. And it looked like the original grip too. We started messing around with it and to our surprise it felt really good. Got some good distance and the ball was going where we wanted it to. He still has it in his bag today.

My other buddy broke his pitching wedge in half last year after attacking his golf cart with it after an errant shot. To replace it, he went to a used club store and bought an old Golden Bear pitching wedge for $5.00. He's been using it ever since and says it's 10 times better.

That is of course until he decides to attack another golf cart.

I still keep my set of MacGregor blades (with Jack Nicklaus signature on them) around. Whenever my game just doesn't feel good, I go back to them. Usually within a few swings I can feel something unique. I spent years with them, and I learned to play golf with them.

They had persimmon woods, too. I'm going to contact Louisville to see if they wouldn't want to have a driver reviewed...

yes, i just went to the course today and played with the 3 wood i found earlier. its alright, i hit it about 185. to you guys that may seem like an 8 or seven iron but keep in mind im a teenager in 8th grade haha so yeah i hit my drives 210-230.

the only thing that sucks about it is that the club head is soo small. but ill keep it in my bag till i get a new one probably
