With my driver, 3 wood and 2H my 'go to shot' is a little draw. With 4H-9I my shot is a baby fade. Since wedges are more difficult to 'work', I usually just hit the ball as straight as possible. It's funny - with my wedges the harder I swing the more likely the ball is a slight pull or draw. With irons a harder swing will result in more of a fade.

I consider you a lucky (or talented) guy with that shot pattern. One thought about hard wedges: if you want to hit them hard, swing hard, just do not make a overly long backswing. If I could remember this, I would hit a lot fewer hooking PW's. I would be much better off hitting the next club straight than trying to push extra length from any of my wedges. One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard was, "never hit your most lofted wedge as hard as you can." Unfortunately, I seem to forget this from time to time. And, this might not apply on flop shots over a tree or something... you can rip at those if that is the only alternative.

Mine is a 3-iron hit about a foot fat, rolling out to 30 yards and landing in a divot behind a tree. No matter the situation, I can always count on that one.

when you just have to hit the fairway or green, i love the trap draw.....used to be the fade was my go to shot, but I started working with an instructor down at Sea Island, GA and he has changed the game for me.

A punch. The less time the ball is in the air, the less the chance it has to go off line. That's when I'm hitting very poorly.
When playing well, It is probably a nice 2-3 meters draw. These usually end 5 meters away from the flag

Since I hit the ball very straight, my go to shot is always a 3/4 punch with one to two clubs too much. I really like it from 150-165. I take a 5 or 6 iron and feed it down to the hole. I usually can get it inside 10' or so. I don't know why I don't hit it all the time, but I guess I'm not that smart.

any draw, high, low, mid. I'm still working on those fades. I like to release later and faster to get that snappy feeling at the bottom so I tend to turn that ball right to left. wish I could get that high fade more consistent so I could attack from the left side.

My best control shot is taking a club extra and hitting with a 3/4 grip and 3/4 swing...e.g. hitting an 8-iron like this, instead of hitting a full 9. I can work the ball either way doing this if I have to, but most of the time I just try and hit it straight.

When I am jittery and really off, I play a chuck down 3W from the tee, 3/4 swing, ball back in stance and taking the club straight back on the takeway, almost out-in. It is basically a punch shot - no distance obviously, seldom more than 180 meters (200 yards), but at least the ball is in play. For the second shot, depending on the distance, I play exactly the same go-for-broke shot with a 5W or hybrid towards the entrance of the green. If the green has no entrance, I am screwed.

When I'm that off, I don't even try to hit iron or wedge. That's how bad it gets for me.

I got to a push draw. Just what I try to hit 99% of the time. If I really want to promote a draw, I will drop my right foot back a bit with the driver, just to promote a more inside swing path.
