I'm going to go with tiger as he has been the big name for my generation. I dont know much about Jack as I am still pretty young.

I think once both are retired and looking back, Tiger will stand out a bit more than Jack. Tiger has come so far in such a short time, I think that by the time he's had the same opportunities as Jack has had, he'll prove the be the bigger phenomenon

Jack is by far my favorite golfer of all time and if given the opportunity would go back and watch him in his prime. However, Tiger will do things in the game of golf during out lifetime that no other golfer will match. What an absolute awesome time to be a fan of golf.

Jack had tougher compettion and won 18 majors but even more unbeliveable he finished second something like 15 times!!

I'd say that Jack didn't have tougher competition, I think it's the opposite, the field now is much tougher than it was back then, but Tiger is

so good that he makes it look like the field is cake. I think a couple of the big names would give Jack a run for his money nowadays.

Well said.

After Tiger breaks his major record...then I'll reconsider. Right now.....total record.....performance vs. highest competetion.....it's Jack's title as the King. Best of wishes to Tiger and continued sucess is hoped for.....but it's Jack.

To do what Jack did with what he had to play with. I'm sure some one could come up with some clubs for Tiger to try to play.

I think tiger woods is better then jack. I never got to see jack play so i am a little bias but im sure it would be a great twosome to watch.

Jack is the man but Tiger is god.

Jack finished second so many times........I think that impresses me the most. Finishing second, knowing how close you came to winning, and being able to win again when you are in that posision again, fighting off the thoughts of failurem of finishing second again......and 1986 Masters was truly a wonder.

I haven't seen Jack play in his prime- I can't make an accurate decision. However, after I saw Tiger play in person I can't imagine there are many other golfers (past or present) who could top him.

It's hard not to say Tiger is the best while the media is shoving him down your throat every chance it gets. I'd still go with Jack.
âI'm glad I brought this course, this monster, to its knees.â

I'm torn between the two. If I had grown up watching Jack like i have watching Tiger then i might say differently, but since I have only really seen Tiger in his prime i would have to say Tiger.

this is post #1 so i can post my swing for feedback yay...

Jack because the media has tainted Tiger in my opinion. I have an unexplained angerness at Tiger that has little to do with the man himself.

    • Day 312 - Better finishing position, fuller backswing, PRGR to see how swing speed was.
    • Going to a Friendsgiving tomorrow and I am bringing a no-bake cheesecake. I make the crust too big, but I think it turned out good. The filling is really good.
    • Sure, but how was your alignment? 🙂 Day 53 - 2024-11-22 Mirror work after getting back home. Wife is a superstar for her career/job/whatever.
    • I would say your back nine is the second nine you play that day. It's part of what makes getting some of those holes tougher. Or, if 18 holes are played pretty often, out of A, B, and C, and you often play A and C, A is the front and C is the back, regardless of the order you play them in. That way not birdieing C #7 isn't overcome by birdieing the easier A #7 on a day you played it C-A instead of A-C. But, at the end of the day, nobody really cares except yourself.
    • Day 128: played 9. Nice little even 9, with 2 birdies and 2 bogeys.
