It depends.

Most of the time, toss it in the cart, or stick it in/on my bag if I'm walking. Or sometimes I'll grab the putter, start walking towards the green and either toss it back towards my bag or just keep it with me and lay it on the ground with my towel.

So, I guess "other."

Your poll won't work.

Sometimes I throw it on the ground. Sometimes I put it in the cart. Sometimes I stick it to the velcro on my bag (or set it in amongst the clubheads).

I'll do all of those things when I'm in a cart, or the two that don't involve a cart when I'm walking.

it depends. If i have a wedge with me, ill stick the magnetic part to the metal and leave it their. If I'm walking or in a cart, I'll shove it in next to my driver. If I"m in a rush in a cart, I'll sometimes just throw it in the back.

don't forget it also makes a difference if you walk or ride, or if it's windy.

If I take a wedge and putter to the green I will leave it on and put in on the ground next to the wedge when I putt. If I am only taking the putter to the green, I will leave the cover in the cart.

It depends.

If the putter is the only club I am bringing, the cover sits on my seat in the cart.

If I am carrying more than my putter, the headcover stays on until I putt and then it gets thrown on the ground.

I toss is anywhere in between the cart and the green so I will pass by it on the way back to the cart. Ive been using it for long enough that my putter feels naked without it so Im always aware of it.

The vast majority of the time I take it off when I take my clubs out of the car and leave it there. My bag has a putter slot that keeps it away from other clubs banging it and I don't want to mess with it all day, so I just leave it in car. I do the same thing wth driver cover since it's tall enough not to get banged by other clubs. When I was younger I lost a couple of covers to clubs because I either laid them down and forgot or they fell off and I didn't notice until later.

My old one I used to put on my irons. It had a magnetic lid, so it didn't fall off. On the blade I'm sporting these days I put it into the slot on the bag where the putter stays.

if i have the cover on, i will leave the putter cover in the golf cart so i don't forget it. otherwise, i will take the cover off before the round starts and put it in my bag.
