About a year and half ago I played at Mount Woodson. It's a par 70 with an executive feel, set amongst finger canyons just outside of San Diego. The cart path is more like a roller coaster ride that comes complete with speed bumps and long wooden winding bridges that deliver you to the next tee. I lost 16 balls.

8...1 on the first 2 on the second and 4 on the fifth, then none afterwards

Pretty sure that's 7 lol.

Ive probably lost only about 6 balls in one round.

Probably lost 6 or 7 the first time I played, wouldn't be more than 5 since. I haven't played any courses with a lot of water or any canyons that balls might get lost in though. These days I only usually have 4 or 5 balls in my bag so I'd have to give up after that.

First time playing a Palmer course across the street from where I work, with the boss, I could not hit my driver to save my life and took 13 penalties; all lost balls if I remember correctly. I finally starting hitting straight on 16. If it wasn't for the penalties I would have scored to my handicap. oh well.

We all lost many when we first took up the game.

I played last Tuesday with my father and lost 3 balls during the round....all on the same water hazard!!!!!

I hit a large drive on a par 4....went through the fairway and into the hazard. Took a drop and stiffed a nine iron to three feet and made the putt.

Next hole was a par 3 that skirted the same hazard. There was a front pin placement that tempted me....wind was back into my face. I couldn't resist to urge to hit a high iron into the wind and let drop dead on the front pin. All was looking grand unitl it hit the bank and sucked back into the hazard. My dumb arse tees up another and tries again.....same stick.....same result.

We got a few laughs outa that.

3 brand new Bridgestone B330 RX balls lost in two holes. Plus a very large score that helped him whip me by 11 strokes.

I think the most Ive lost is like 10 balls in a round...... Im getting better and that count is down to like 4 or 5... I play courses with lots of water though.. and tight fairways..

I went with a guy a few weeks ago, no lie he lost like 30 balls.... broke a club that day too, I havent called him since..

With your handicap?? Ouch.

The most I lost, after dropping my handicap to below 15, was 5 in a single round. Lost my swing, lost 5 balls, and lost my sanity.

Lost my swing, lost 5 balls, and lost my sanity.

I feel your pain.

Mine was too much liquid courage and female distraction.

a friend of mine that i hadn't got a chance to play golf with in literally years called me up and declared, by god, he was going to play some golf, he'd been wanting to and wanting to for months, and he was REALLY gonna do it, regardless of if his wife was pissed at him for it.

four holes in, she calls him bitching him out. he slinks off behind a tree and talks for another minute or so, comes back with a real hang-dog look on his face and says he needs to head out. i shook my head and told him "you may've only lost two balls today, but they were the important ones."

    • In OK, schools are not legally allowed to require masks, even for those who are too young to get vaccinated.  😞 I'm glad to hear that the vaccine can make keys stick to your head.  Maybe it will work on the five simple keys from a while back?
    • And almost as if Florida is trying to double down on it, -->   Being a resident of SW Missouri, I guess I shouldn't throw stones.  It's almost like they're having a competition, except they've forgotten that LSW.
    • Day 1: Starting over because I keep forgetting to post. More chipping/pitching COVID-19 drills with new wedges. Then downswing priority piece work with 7-iron.
    • My usual dbl bogie- bogie- bogie start till the back let me swing. Settled in and was 4 over at the turn after an additional bogie nullified by a bird.  Was even on the back till we hit a log jam on the tee of 15. lost concentration and bogied in. 80.  I would like to add, I wasn't having a particularly  good ball striking day. I could have easily shot a lot worse, but the forgiveness of the T300s and a good day with the flat stick kept me out of the mid 80s.
    • Day 157.  I spent ten minutes hitting balls with my 6-iron indoors.  I'll be playing tomorrow, and I would have liked to get out to practice chipping and putting on a real green, but it wasn't in the cards for today's plans.  I am glad I at least got some practice in, though.  Hmm... I see Boogie did Superspeed.  I'm not sure why I put mine away a few months ago, but I need to get them back out and get back to it.
