What does it Cost to live at Isleworth?

Ending my workday with a little levity...

I was on Wikipedia, looking at golfers earnings. I noticed that Paula Creamer, who has earned about $6M so far, lives at Isleworth - the same community as Tiger, who has earned $87M. In addition, I'm sure Tiger's endorsement deals dwarf Creamer's as well.

So, how does she do it (afford Isleworth)? Is there a low-rent district in side the community? Do her parents help out with the mortgage? Does she have roomates to help pay the rent? Perhaps Isleworth isn't "all that," and Tiger is just slumming?

Maybe Tiger has a $20M house, and Creamer has a $500K condo?

If she's earned 6 million she could purchase a 1M house and not have a mortgage. A millionaire 6 times over pretty much lives where they want within reason

This little gem is only 4.9 million.. So she's got a million left over. I could live on that :D

Well, as Chris Rock would say, he lives in a wealthy neighborhood and the only black residents are accomplished musicians and entertainers. His neighbor is a white guy whose a dentist. And not even the best dentist. Just a "pull your teeth" kind of dentist.

OK, jokes only funny when he does it.

I'm sure this area has many levels of property value.

Sometimes it's smart to own the smallest house on the biggest block.

A house like that is the cheap part. Heating/air conditioning, maintenance, etc really add up on an obnoxious house like that.

Nope, I disagree. You forgot about a little thing called Property Tax! Typically about 1-2% of a homes worth. Would the tax bill on a $5M home be $50K-$100K??? If so, that leftover $1M won't last very long!!!

btw, the house in the picture is fantastic. What is that, about 10,000 square feet? A guy could really stretch out in a house like that!

I'm sure Isleworth has maintenance and community fees also. Still with a 6 mil and counting income she could handle a 1 mil home or 500 thou condo.

Don't forget Tiger has bought that "compound" somewhere else in FL and is developing that property so I'm not sure if he's still in Isleworth. Maybe he didn't like the new neighbors.

Investment like Arnie did with Bay Hill.

I visited the page one time, and the houses start from 2,000,000 usd and up, so I don't think is that cheap ha, and maybe those $6M are only from tournaments, I guess, cause endorsements pays more, right?

Cheers!

That 6 mil is only her tour winnings. Even though she's obviously not getting $90 million a year like Tiger she's still got plenty of sponsorship deals with some pretty big companies.

Have a look here (scroll down to have the overview):

But think about it this way - Creamer's LIFETIME earnings of about $20M is roughly equal to what Shaq (another resident of Isleworth) makes in a single year.

It still seems to me that Creamer is one of the "lesser" residents of Isleworth. A couple of sub-par seasons on the tour (like Gulbis is going through) and Creamer won't be able to keep up her mortgage payments!

They have some as "low" as 1.5 million. Financed at 7%, that's about 10 grand a month for the mortgage payment, I'm sure she could swing that. I'm not sure about the LPGA, but she could come in 36th place in the lowest PGA tournament and get that much.

I'm lost why you are trying to make Paula Creamer sound broke. I'm betting she can afford a house there with no problems. 6 million earning, 15 million in endorsements and another 1 million a year in appearances. Even if she has a bad year her endorsement contracts don't vanish. Plus you brought up the perfect example Gulbis she is having a terrible year on tour but her bank account is no way hurting.

Yeah, appearance fees alone have probably netted her a good bit more than her official earnings. Plus, the gals have more time off than Tiger Woods, since they only have, what, three events in the U.S.? More time for outings and appearance fees!

She makes plenty of money.

I think if you made a million a year you can live there, maybe less depending on other obligations. Just a guess.
