lol swinging the club 1 handed has nothing to do with poor plane on the downswing...

Kevin advancing is just reinforcing what everyone knows: putting wins. The main difference between nationwide and PGA players is putting.

Kevin is the best putter - it's no fluke he's in the finals.

the putter can cut more strokes than any club, so regardless of what mike or Finau bro.#1 does; as long as Kevin is anywhere in the ballpark of hitting his greens in reg., I do beleive he will be hard to beat in the finals.

Actually what happened to Andrew is he put a ball in the lake. Kind of the same thing that took gip down, haha. If gipper did not sink a ball, he would have won. If Andrew did not sink a ball, he would have won.

I've watched that shot several times and if you look at the flight of the ball it actually looks like he hit it thin. Took off like a low rocket and was traveling way to fast when it hit the ground. Could have just miss-clubbed it but I doubt it.

I saw it the other night, he didn't seem to miss it by that much. I'll agree it had a bit of a weird traj, but it looked like it landed pin high or even short of there, and took a very strange bounce. Almost looked like it hit a sprinkler head or something.

Maybe too aggressive a play for the moment, but playing for par might not have done him any good considering where his competitor was.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!! Seriously. It's a two-plane golf swing that's corrected prior to impact. He isn't getting the shaft where it needs to be and is giving up at impact. When his body lurches, which he was doing in the last episode. The downswing timing was off and he wasn't where he was accustomed to being at impact. The natural tendancy in that case is to let go with your right hand (for a right hand player). Ergo. Poor swing plane leading to the "quit" at impact. Single plane swings minimize that problem. Players with a sway, such as Curtis Strange, can make a darn good living with a one plane swing and a sway. As long as their timing is good. C'mon. Ray Charles could see that.

sigh.... he didnt quit at impact...

he almost let go of the club before he even initiated the downswing

it's a shoulder problem not a swing problem. ray couldnt see poop apparentally

i could swear that andrews shot hit a sprinkler head before going into the water...

and about gippers swing plane issues... ummm the guy can murder a ball with a 9i to 189 with one hand... he's "a beast in disguise"
yeah having a shoulder injury would make most ppl let go of the club because of the pain... do you really think its a swing issue? as k.erd would say... "wow"

Who's booking the bets on the finals?

I've replayed Gipper's water shot a few times and he takes an uncharacteristic hop at the top of his swing and seems to do a weight shift to his rear foot -- all very awkward -- before having to take a *corrective* downswing at the ball. I think his feet got spazzy and that started a chain-reaction that ended up with him in the water.

Prediction for the Final: Winner will be +3-4.

1st place - Mike Perez; I think his consistency and experience will carry the day. He doesn't seem that likable to me and I don't see him being successful at Nationwide or PGA level without some major improvement in his game.... his putting does seem suspect (as he stated)... Seems like he is not even close on many of his misses medium range misses - looks like below average green reading, perhaps??? (like me), and he could miss a short one and 'give it away' when the pressure comes up late in the round, but I still make him significant favorite. (60% probabilty he will win).

2nd Place - Tony; He could surprise if he can keep the long ball in play and his short game is sharp on the day of the Final. He seems to have things in perspective and the pressure hasn't noticablly rattled him as far as I can tell so far. I wouldn't mind seeing him win, but I don't think his overall game is as good as Perez
(25% probablity to win).

3rd Place - Erdman; Seems like a normal guy; Probably the guy I'd most enjoy having a drink with, but his game does not seem to be sharp at this point (stating the obvious); could be a "Cinderella Story" and who knows with his short game he could surprise, but it will be a long day for him if he keeps hitting everything right and must constantly test his short game to save pars.
(15% chance to win)

Yeah, I think his ball hit a sprinkler head too. Either that or landed on a pretty severe downslope.

...don't you mean a "beast from the skies?"

Im a beast in disguise, i just hit a 9. Tony is 2-1 to win. Mike 7/2-1 and Kev-8-1. Put your money on Kevin if you want to move the line up.

I think Tony wins. Someone that hits the ball long now that Tigers gone for a bit. Just call him Tony the Tiger. j/k. I do think he will win tho. Not just because of his long hitting he is just all around better then Mike and Kevin. Mike couldnt even hit a 40 yard flop shot in the first few episodes. He struggled really bad with his short game and his driving isnt that great either. He hits a good 3 wood thats about it. He got through with the skin of his teeth. Kevin isnt that bad. He hits everything right, he doesnt hit the ball far at all but his short game is above average. The best aspect of his game is putting and thats not going to win the big break. If he wins he will go down as the worst golfer to win the show. Period.

I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.
