yah ... i feel indefinite will be less than most imagine, it just sounds a bit more dramatic now in a situation where anyone hating Tiger is looking for an extreme consession.

Tiger should set sail with his family on his yacht and spend the next four months trying to put everything together. Hell, hit golf balls off the bow of the boat. I hope he continues his quest for No. 19

I hope he can get right. He's got a lot of growing up to do. He is a wreckless freak "if" most of the stories are true.

Hard to believe anything from this guy...again "if" most of the stories are true.

Like tiger was going to play very much in the next couple months anyway so as far as him playing golf, kind of a non-issue. He rarely plays in very many of the early season tournaments. My guess is he'll return in time for the match play just like he did this year so as to get fine tuned in time for the Masters.

I didn't. Then again, who knows how long "indefinite" will turn out to be. The Masters isn't for four months, and it's not like Tiger's going to have to be 100% "trusted" to be allowed to play golf again.

I'm no soothsayer. It was really just a gut feeling. I have just returned to golf after a long hiatus and never really got on the Tiger bandwagon. Maybe I see him more mortal than others do. Needless to say, I wish him and his family well.

That would be me...I hope the a**hole stays away the entire year. I enjoyed watching when he was away 'rehab'n'!

Dont get your hopes up guys to seeing him any time soon (e.g. for the next Major).

He is probably doing this for two reasons - first and obv. to get his marriage back on track and secondly he probably is more than happy to hide from the public til this whole thing loses attention.

Memory spans of such events might be short - but showing up in April and pretending nothing ever happend wont work - maybe showing up in April 2011 and pretending nothing ever happend might work.

And actually i´m in the camp of guys who arent unhappy about the fact that he is not showing up - maybe he can work on his behavior inside the ropes a bit too, while he is absent - cuz it wasnt fun to watch at all the last couple months.

He misses one major due to the severity of his actions. Missing the Masters is a big deal but what he did to his family is bigger. He will be back for the U.S. Open in June.

I'll miss watching his amazing ability to play golf. Won't miss his angry glare and boorish behaviour on the course. Hoping when/if he returns, that he'll be more open with his personality.

People, such as Bill Clinton and JD, who have been personable were quickly forgiven by most. Tiger might not be as fortunate.

Doubt we'll see him at all in 2010.

I don't see what the big deal is, really. Guy has issues, wants to get them fixed. How is not playing golf going to fix that (unless he is just playing golf to beat Jack's record, and actually hates the sport like Andre Agassi)??? It's not like he has porn stars waiting in the port-o-lets or something. If he is as tough as he says he is he plays and takes the good (he will have plenty of well wishers) with the bad. Maybe he's mixed up that his wife (allegedly) went after him with the brassie? I don't know, but I am about done with this garbage, far more important things than this junk. I could care less if he quits or plays. He's a liar, so nothing out of his mouth can be taken seriously, again not that I care. The golf channel is covering this like it's the cuban missle crisis.

He is a wreckless freak

I think you mean "reckless"... if he were "wreckless" none of this would be out in the open

You can have Tiger and we will take Padraig and Rory M.

Haha

think we'll keep Rory anyway.. Was looking forward to watching Tiger at a Pro Am here in July but I won't be holding my breath on that now.
