I was just wondering, if your on the PGA tour or Nationwide, do the players have to pay an entry fee??

I know on the Pga tour, if there is an entry fee, im sure the sponsors take care of it, but is there even an entry fee? I mean a guy like ryan moore with no sponsors, does he have to pay a fee to get into the tourney?

How bout nationwide tour?

PGA Tour Card holders don't pay.
Nationwide Tour Card holders don't pay for Nationwide events.
Sometimes Nationwide players get into PGA events by invite and sponsor exemptions.

here's a good link for WHO PLAYS in tour events .

PGA Tour Card holders don't pay.

"PGA Tour members do not pay entry fees to play in PGA Tournaments. Other nonmembers pay an entry fee of $400."

That's the most recent info I've found. Until about 1999 or 2000 they used to pay entry fees for each tournament. Kind of a throwback.

Your question was answered (correctly, to the best of my knowledge) by others, but I want to point out that Ryan Moore is semi-sponsored by ... Scratch Golf? Fourteen golf? He took part ownership of one of the lesser-known companies.

He's also on the Callaway Tour i(s) "team". (He's a Callaway staff player now.) They're a major brand in golf I believe.
