Disney vacation

Me and my family are going to Disney world this June,has anyone played golf on any of their courses and if so can yuo suggest one over the other.And when I go should I take my own clubs or rent some there I will only be playing golf 1 time so not sure it would be worth the space it would take to take my own.....

Well, I've played them all. Palm and Mag are nice courses. I could take or leave Lake Buena Vista. My favorite is Osprey Ridge. It's not easy but played smartly, you can score OK. But I would not lock yourself in to only playing the Disney courses. There are several that are not far away that are outstanding. We are going in just a couple of weeks and we are playing only one round at Disney (Osprey Ridge). I'm trying to figure out the other three rounds we want to play. Right now we are slated to play Grand Cypress (36) but I'm not completely sold that we will do that. I'm still trying to decide where we want to play our last round and I've started a couple of threads on here trying to get some feedback.

Oh and if you are driving, my feeling is take your own equipment. That's just my personal feeling. I'm sure you can rent wherever you go. Flying? eh, might def want to rent. Not worth the hassle of toting your equip.

Disney's courses are overated and expensive, but if I had to play one it would be Osprey. Right around the corner from Disney is Orange County National, 2 great 18 hole courses at half to 2/3 the price of Disney, better golf.

We will be driving but will be limited on room.Can you rent clubs at the orange county courses sure you can but just asking.I have heard about ocn several times so far so if anyone else has got anything let me know thanks so far

I have played ALL of them. I liked Osprey as well. The rough there is really really deep.

I'd agree that Osprey is my favorite Diseny course. I've played them all several times, except I haven't played the new Waldorf course that just opened. The service at Disney is second to none. Green fees are expensive in the morning, but they have very good afternoon rates. I nusually go to the theme parks with the family as soon as they open in the morning, we eat a late lunch togther and then they go back to the hotel for a rest and a swim while I play golf. If you stay on premises at Disney World they will drive you from your room to any of the Disney courses and back, for free. We then have dinner and then go back to the parks. The Lake Buena Vista, Magnolia and Palm courses are nice, but not as scenic or interesting as Osprey, although they are less expensive. I think the Big Break show on Golf Channel was held on the Magnolia course. Orange County National is nice, but it is much less convenient if you are staying at Disney world on a family trip.
