Started watching Black Sails. Someone here mentioned it, I think it was @billchao . Only halfway in, there's been a lot of exposition and new characters, but engaging story, personalities and acting with a little history/pirates. Hoping for a payoff with lots of cannons being fired. Arrrrrrr.....

It's a good show. Season 2 just ended and I can't wait for season 3.

Has anyone watched Last Man on Earth?  I tried to watch, made it through two episodes and just couldn't get into it.

Who would live in one of the hottest places in the US without AC, that place would be miserable most of the year.  San Diego would probably be my choice.

He drives around the country in an RV for over a year, however, without fuel additives, refined gasoline doesn't last that long.  maybe he was running a diesel engine, but the hotter the climate, the less time it lasts.  So again, Tuscon would be a horrible place to live.

When he cut the hole out of the diving board so he could crap, was idiotic.  The water tank was on high ground and there would've been enough pressure to flush a toilet (probably for his lifetime), as well as water tomato plants or anything else.  Unless of course he picked the one house that was on a well.  And if it was, move to a bigger house that is on the water system.  Most major cities have several tanks (in the million gallons) spread throughout their water system.  We have two tank sites within a 1/2 mile of each other that have 18 million gallons of water combined in the 5 above ground tanks.  That would last one person, 328 years using 150 gallons a day, which would be astronomical for one person.

Where are the dead bodies, why is everything so clean, why are there no cars in the road,

And then to top it off, he's not the last man on earth?  What?.....

I watched two episodes, but had to abandon it due to my wife being annoyed with the swearing. I'll be starting over again with it in a few weeks when I get a cable box in my new man cave. Also chomping at the bit for Friday to roll around so I can binge on Daredevil. The trailers look great. I thought the opening scene of last weeks Flash episode was beautiful. Two speedsters fighting it out in the Allen home was pretty epic.

Is Daredevil out on Netflix now?  I'm looking forward to watching that as well.  Flash is also great, the yellow speedster reveal this last week was really done well.  I also love Arrow. Grimm is really good right now as well.

Has anyone watched Bosch on Amazon Prime?  I've read a few of the books and they were really good.  Might have to watch them when I'm siting in the airport this weekend.

I was a bit dissatisfied with the season ending episode of Better Call Saul. But at least now I know what a Chicago Sunroof is.

Marco from Better Call Saul is Todd in Last Man on Earth. I liked the first 3-4 episodes of LMoE, but this rivalry storyline just isn't doing it for me.

Fortitude finale tonight. Next season will be like True Detectives / Fargo. Totally different story.

I have three episodes left of Daredevil to watch. It's been very well done so far. It's a lot grittier than the Marvel movies. Most of the fight scenes have been super impressive. Episode two has one that reminds me of Oldboy, minus the cheese.

Game of Thrones is back, lots of table setting and planning for the future, biding one's time, an okay episode. That last scene though. I would have done what Jon Snow did.

    • Of course. I've used different words to start, but like 90-95% of the time it's been this one. And I'm unlikely to switch now.
    • Welcome to TST @Camjr.   We're glad you've joined.
    • Angle is not a factor. I hit the ball 100’ high. Par is net birdie. My CH is 16. The rough between the bunkers is like 10’ wide though. That’s not something you’re going to try to hit on purpose. Most of the area to the left of that is fescue/native vegetation and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a flat lie in any of it. It’s the second hole.
    • Hello all.  I'm about to be 57 yrs old, started playing when I was 16, and have quit and restarted the game more times than I can count.  I had started playing a weekly round with a friend, and finally made the jump to Senior A shafted Tour Edge clubs.  Instantly gained 10 yds with an easier swing (why didn't I make that jump sooner???).  Glad to be a part of the group. Cheers all,
    • I think I like this hole.  It is a clear "Risk-Reward" choice.  Since most of the shots in your cone cleared the bunkers I would say they are a minor risk and not a big issue.  Playing the aggressive line may give you 70ish yards in from what looks to be playable rough while conservative play is 120ish from fairway.  I know you said 70 vs 120 is minor for you but how does the approach angle in impact your results?  I figure both strategies are playing for Birdie since holing out from either is mostly luck. Looking at your proximity hole I think it says @ 50 feet when hitting from the fairway from 100-150 and 40 feet if hitting 50-100 from the rough.  Neither of those is an easy birdie putt.   I like the approach angle from the rough between the bunkers & the adjacent tees over the angle from @ 120 in the fairway but I really do not like the idea of hitting onto the adjacent tee boxes and that may impact my confidence with making the shot.  Also, too far left may be a worse approach angle then from the fairway short of the bunkers. For me this may come down to how confident do I feel when I reach that tee box.  If I am stroking it well off the tee leading up to the hole I would try for over the bunkers and the better angle in but if I am struggling that day I would likely opt for the fairway to take more bad stuff out of play.
