Inspired by the fashion thread. Let's see what you look like on the course. Here's me. I look really goofy in hats.

Pics from Florida in February. I'm 5'11 and get dwarfed by my buddy with the flair hair. He is one hell of a stick though (me on the left).

On my tip-toes (man I feel short)

Last one.

Thanks, Ben. My buddy took the water shot when we did senior skip day in High School. It was a Par 5 and I went for it in 2 and the ball rolled off the green to the edge of the water. My girlfriend took the first pic of me warming up on the range. The last picture was really great cuz we played the back 9 where the highest score of the hole had to take a shot of rum...my buddy lost.

Here is the result of my divot with my hybrid lol you could say I hit it fat.

Here are the only golf pictures I've got. None too high quality... These are at the Alisal River Course in Solvang, CA. It's notable as the golf course that was used in the movie "Sideways."

Oh my god hahaha.

That's hilarious. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of me yet, but I'll try and take some soon enough! No promises though.

    • Not sure what height has to do with age but ok.  I only asked based on what he said he weighed and how far he hits his drives. That said, you're absolutely right, age is a factor in training but it's really dependent on what you're doing and your body.  I'm fortunate in that although I'm climbing in age more rapidly than I'd like to think about, training wise, I'm not at all in a position where I have to make substantive changes. I see many drives much further than your current average given your height and weight if you keep up with it.  I've gained a few pounds of muscle since I started playing golf a few years ago and have def seen my distances increase.
    • So, I'm reviving this thread b/c I wanted to keep a record of how my 2021 golf season is going.  First, working with @iacashas me so much more confident about my game than I ever have been.  The scores may not show it but after discussing it with Erik and some reflection, I realize at least yesterday that a lot of that has to do with not really focusing when I punch out and also that I don't practice the short game shots that I face in a round, not that I practice short game much at all.  Overall, feeling better about my putting and the swing changes I've made has me pumping my driver out there further more consistently.  I literally never worry about using that club.  Still have lots of work to do with my irons which I feel is also holding me back from putting up better scores, but I feel some range time will help me groove that more. This year I didn't play my first round until May and typically I get in 40 or so rounds with many more coming in the later months (ya know, when it gets cold because I'm smart like that).  My next round will be my 14th which will likely not come until next week.    My unofficial HC is 24.8 and this year I haven't shot under my target score which I calculate based on my unofficial HC and the course rating and slope rating.  I suppose this isn't too surprising as including all my rounds from last year, I've played 47 times and have only shot under my target score 3 times.  I've only shot under 100 twice this year so that's the first goal, get under 100 more consistently which should happen, if I ever learn to stop being a knucklehead out there.
    • Sure.  5'8 or 5'9, depending who you ask (I haven't measured by myself in over a decade, and I get one of those two answers every time someone else does).
    • Still young enough for heavy weights. When you hit 40-45 you may want to re evaluate your workout. The body changes a lot over the years.
    • It looks like FDA will be giving the Pfizer final approval sometime in the next few months. Maybe as early as next month.  F.D.A. Aims to Give Final Approval to Pfizer Vaccine by Early Next Month - The New York Times The Food and Drug Administration’s move is expected to kick off more vaccination mandates for hospital workers, college students and federal troops. Come on people, get vaccinated.
