obviously none of you have watched any moto (motocross or supercross)
Rickie is an ex-dirtbiker and im guessing this is where he gets his ideas for gear
99% of the dudes that race look like a rainbow of somesort

IMO - i like it ( and his hats)
this sport needs it - im tired of sein the same ol green shirts and khaki pants and everybody dressing like they are 70
Poulter wears some pretty flashy gear too (not a fan of him though)

on RF's hats - you ever wer one of them before? They are SUPER comfy
I personally have 3 of them and one FLEXFIT puma hat as well
u know you've made it, when a company re-designs their brand around you (kinda like Ryan Moore's simple dress code etc.. and Scratch)
"My swing is homemade - but I have perfect flaws!" - Me

I am about as traditional as they come, and I wear assault hats (or painter caps, railroad conductor hats, etc., whatever you want to call them) and have for several years. The reason is comfort, but they still stay on like a golf or baseball hat in normal winds as well. The round tops give a little more room for air without looking like those "truckstop poke-up front" hats. I like them.

railroad conductor hats

I'm pretty sure you're not wearing a striped muffin top hat.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

No, not a striped muffin top, but I've been told my white ones look like a train hat, or painter's cap. My Khaki ones are labelled as "assault caps" and I guess they are used in some military groups somewhere in the world. Mine are solid colors. Still like them, and they go through the dishwasher to clean up fairly often.

Is that his get up on day 4 now? That orange suit outfit? Its original but terrible. Poulter and Villegas dress out there but have class to it.

And yeah he is quarter japanese.

Too bad he didn't win, I was going for him.

One of the commentators today said he looked like a traffic cone with hair.

Hahaha, I heard that one. Made me laugh... I don't like any of his ridiculous outfits, but I guess thats what you get when you're sponsored by Puma, right? His orange get-up is really dumb looking, but I think he likes it with his spray tan. I saw him in person at an autograph signing here in CA, and his tan was so fake it was terrible.... I like Ricki Fowler though. I think he has a real future ahead of him, as long as he learns how to finish (which I don't know how to do either). His swing is so fast and his flexibility is amazing! I wish I was able to swing like that!

In my Ogio bag.

Titleist 910D2 driver, Adams irons & hybrid, Callaway wedges & a Nike Method putter.

And a yellow ball.

The great irony of life: "If nobody gets out alive, what's holding you back!?"

Why bash his style? He's being unique and there's nothing wrong with that. Puma doesn't pay him to dress in bright orange outfits, he dresses like that because that's his style. They pay him to wear the puma hat just like all the others on tour. I'm sure it wasn't PUMA's idea to be the first on tour to rock the flatbill hats, it was Rickie's.

Like I said, he's unique. Plus hes a socal dude...what do you expect?

On an unrelated note, has anyone ever heard that your swing tempo has a lot to do with your tempermant, personality and lifestyle?

Rickie has the fastest tempo on tour and I bet it's because of all that fast paced moto.

Best 9 holes: 35 (Trilogy at Redmond Ridge, 3163y, Par 35/70, 70.0/131)
Best 18: [b]77[b] (Palm Valley CC, 6545y, 71.4/126)
Notable career achievement: I have NEVER four-putt.

Rickie is a great golfer with loads of potential but his hat is just plain stupid. I'm glad he likes it because I'm pretty sure he's the only one. He just looks like clown with that flat bill, over sized thing on his head.

In the bag:

yea but its better than him just throwing on a Titleist cap.

My mom decided to make a quip about him looking like an inmate today lol. I don't deny he's bringing something "fresh" to the tour, but IMO Poulter and Villegas bring more style/flair/class in terms of "fresh". That and someone like Ryan Moore who (until recently) chose to take no sponsors and just wore what he wanted :P

Rickie wears bright orange to represent Oklahoma State University (OSU) Orange Cowboys, it's on his bag as well

IMO he can wear whatever he wants, the kids got game

The title of this thread pretty much sums up my thoughts on his hat.

Rickie's wardrobe: Day 1: Day 2: Day 3: Day 4:

My father and uncle were with me today, and they said the same thing.

They are supposed to be "military style" hats. I'm not a fan.

The hat Rickie is wearing in the first pic is the millitary style cap like Ricky Barnes wears (Yohan Edfors has been wearing this style for at least a year on the European Tour) Ryna moor used to waer one of these when sponsored by Ping.

The second pic is the Hip Hop/motorcross/skate style big peaked cap, Ryan Moore now wears this style with the Scratch logo, he was the first to sport this on tour but a few youngsters are wearing these now, Dustin Johnson has a kinda normal cap with a hybrid bigger peak. IMO the caps are going backwards, as in they no longer have the curved peak but getting larger & flatter, just like Lee Travino et al...

I have no problem with the hat. Actually, if you don't mind the colors, what do you see?

Barely any advertising if you look past the Puma outline.

If you look at the old pictures of Nicklaus, Seve, there's barely any logos.

Most golfers now look like the Indy and Nascar vehicles.

At least Fowler's logos are a bit more subtle.
