10-15 lbs of muslce a year when its your job to be a professional athlete is nothing. Football guys regularly gain that in college from their freshman to senior year and they arent even professionals.

Its possible for a few gifted individuals to add 1 lb of muscle per month to the entire body if doing everything correctly 7 days per week. That's including adding to the muscle groups that Golfer should avoid adding bulk to. So thats a max of 12 lb per year in a select few cases in individuals working their entire group of muscles, and working the heavy and hard enought to break them down each time. That create soreness, even in young folks. The maximum gain rate generally only last for the first two years of lifting, then it slows progressively each year after.

With tourneys and obligations Mr Woods could not possibly lift hard enought, nor so so 7 days per week for 52 weeks per year in order to gain this MAX RATE. Go look a photo's of saayy A-Rod. He's not bulky either, nor does he look like a pro bouldbuilder.... and He's used steroids. High Schooler's take steroids, College guys take steroids... you don't have to be a Professional Athlete to do so.

whos saying it was all muscle? its mostly muscle, but you know as well as i do that our metabolisms slow down and it becomes much easier to gain weight when we enter our 20s. i gained 10 lbs a year for 4 years straight, and i am certainly not a gifted individual. not 10 lbs of pure muscle, but mostly muscle. and a-rod isnt a good example. he is a large human being, much more broad across the chest, back and shoulders. he would dwarf tiger if they stood next to each other.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Cornbread uses some of the most flawed logic I've had the misfortune to read on internet forms. Laughable, in fact.

Note the negative rep.

guys, have you seen the pictures of tiger? does he look like a body builder?

A Rod is 34 yrs old. Ht: 6' 3" weight: 224

Eldrick is 34 yrs old Ht 6' 1" weight: 186 (was 190+ back around 2004)

The heavier a taller person is, the taller they appear. Ive played basketball all my life with people much taller than me, the strangest oddity is when I play against someone my height 6'3+ who weighs about 300 lbs. They are just massive and hard to play against they seem taller too.

Im pretty much the same size as A Rod 224lbs. and Ive never see Tiger in person, but judging the stats above, his lighter weight will make him look much smaller than ARod.
didnt read the entire post so I have no idea why the comparison was made.

I would say Ernie Els would make Tiger look small.

I took this on Tuesday :

Does that look like a man on steroids?

In Bed!

That was 8am Tuesday morning.Went to first green at 7:30 and got a good place. It got very busy very quickly after that though.
I dont think so. He doesnt look 6-1 either. Maybe in cleats.

Yeah, his height was hard to guage.I'd say he is around 6-1, he looks a little lankier in person.

I was there at 6.30am on monday.

'Raining' isn't the word, it was a monsoon. It started around half 11 or so.It was absolutely miserable for a while, players huddled under trees and such.Lucas Glover looked like he'd rather be anywhere else, but Nick Watney stood in it for 15 minutes signing autographs.Cleared off later in the afternoon.

With those fun bags it looks like someone who is off steroids.

Seriously though, there are many, many kinds of steroids and they all do different things. Some make you larger, some stronger, some cut fat and "shred" a person, some help heal injuries. So just because he doesn't look like arnold schwarzenegger doesn't mean he never used steroids. Look at pictures of the other baseball players that used steroids and you might find not all of them look like jose conseco. Many are average to small build. Brian roberts is a great example of someone who doesn't look like a stereotypical juicer but he was liked to 'roids in the mitchell report. Attachment 2377

I do think tiger may have used steroids though. The doctor Galea (SP?) thing doesn't look good IMO. Why get him again? Oh yea, because he wanted the best doctor know in the sports industry. But what did he do? Thats right a simple blood spinning, which is apparently a simple procedure. Why get the "best" all the way from canada to do a simple job, when he isn't even licensed in the state of florida? Thats like me or you driving across the state to go to the best dentist to get our teeth cleaned. doesn't make sense. I think if it was any kind of steroid or HGH, it was the kind that helps heal ligament injuries.

Just my .02

If your the number 1 golfer in the world, you want the best doctor possible. That's why he got him. Money is no object.

If he did, he is downright foolish. I dont see why he would need it, unless he thought his strength pre roids wasnt going to help him get to the next level....even if he did do it,,what the hell would it do for him? The LD champion is a string bean.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
