Bought a Mizuno MP-T10 set lightly used from another member here. 52/07, 56/13, 60/08. Very nice.

blackmagicwedge.com Nothing like them - truly great in all situations, sand, chipping, etc. I bought the 52 and liked it so much I went back and bought the 60. Must try these to believe it.

3 vokeys this season all oil can finish - 48.6, 54.11, 60.4

These were my first "real wedges" so I can't compare to any others.
So far loving the 60 degree. My greenside play is much better now using it.

Having problems with yanking the 48 and 54 degree left. Not a hook, just a flat out pull. Cant determine whether its my stance (wrong alignment) or too far back in stance, or if it's something with my swing. Both at the range and on the course.

My Titleist CB.690 PW is 48* so I have a Vokey 52* and 56* in my bag. I also have a Vokey 48* to replace the CB.690 PW if I decide to swap them. I have a set of Cleveland CG14 wedges but I like the Vokeys a little better. I got suckered in to buying a Peltz 56* too!
It's fun trying to buy a better game!

I totally went through the same thing last year. I decided to rebuild my game from the green to tee. I tested every wedge out there at as many demo days as I could find. What I ended up doing was buying the CG14 52, 56, and 60. I loved them, they felt good, and the spin was excellent.

Then I started looking for replacement irons. That is when I found the Mizuno MP-T wedges. I immediately traded the CG's in on the 47, 51, and 58. These where a little lighter to swing, which actually made the feel better. I am not completely sure how to explain this, but I could feel when I put to much or to little into my swing. I could feel when I hit it wrong, or dead on the sweet spot. Finally, the spin to me was much better because I could control it more. After a year of playing with them, I can get the ball to stop from most distances and lies. This has been the biggest benefit to my game.

To answer the side note:
47 approximately 120yrds
51 approximately 110yrds
58 approximately 100yrds

I can push them farther by how I place the ball and address the club, but rarely do this. It is getting them to NOT go so far that gets tricky! The softer I swing, the better contact I make and off the ball goes! lol

I think this reveals that I start to flip with higher lofted wedges. I hit my 47* 125-132, but I don't think I could ever get my 58* up to 100.

Some days I get so mad that I can't get it UNDER 100! I think it is because I end up de-lofting it when I am trying to shorten the distance. I choke up, swing less, but hit it better. Go figure!

Yeah-sounds like our problems are opposite sides of the same coin. Doesn't really matter how far I hit my wedges, just that I know ahead of time how far...

Yup! I use my 58 a lot! The worst thing for me is when I just want it to go 70yrds and I end up flying the green. Luckily, I have been working on my greenside game. I have gotten a lot better, and closer to the pin, from around the green.

Hey Max, what part of AZ are you in? AZ is my home, but I am in the NAV so I live where they tell me! lol

I'm in the Tucson area. Grew up in San Diego, moved out here 6 years ago, went away to New York 3 years for law school, and just got back. My grandfather was in the Navy-which is why my mom was born in Virginia, and how she ended up in San Diego (Coronado Naval Base).

Yeah-was a big incentive in moving back to Tucson from Western New York (great golf, but only half the year). Only thing I don't like is the hard dirt in all the traps out here, but it's a small price to pay for the availability and diversity of courses around here, at extremely reasonable prices. The heat doesn't bother me, so I can play nearly anywhere here during the summer for less than $40. I'm playing Arizona National (one of Golf Digest's Top 100 public) a few years ago, for $15 tomorrow. I did some training for my job 5 years ago up in Scottsdale, Peoria, Tempe, and Chandler-usually stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Scottsdale. I love Scottsdale, and depending how my job hunting goes later this year I may end up in the Phoenix area. I haven't golfed up there yet, but I hear it's absolutely top-notch.

    • Keyword there was "yesterday" lol. At least it's going to be competitive now.
    • Well, they are. 😳 😄
    • Ehh, it was kinda bad yesterday. Especially from the European side.  Min Woo Lee, Adam Scott, Sungjae, and Bezuidenhout combined for 4 birdies yesterday... Theegala wasn't good from the US side either.
    • Yah, a little over the top barking behind SS's back and walking away before he putted out (that is straight up poor form IMO), etc. Seems to be trying to punch above his weight class. But then on the same note it's hard to stay awake for a couple of hours of telecast outside of this no? The golf is not bad but there's no soul and that's not the player's fault.  I read something about him 'blaming the Canadian crowd' for their Day 1 plight but that also seems to be a bit of a writer's distortion of what he said as to me it seems he is simply asking the crowds to get a bit more involved. That's fair. Ya' know, the positive, loud energy these type of events need and feed off of. My two cents.
