Looks like my wife is going away for the weekend as is my buddy's wife as well. We are up in Boston and looking for ideas for where we could fly/drive to to have a nice weekend of golf. We want to do 36 Saturday(8/28), 18 Sunday(8/29) and come home early afternoon that same day. Any suggestions or recommendations? We play all the local courses in Mass so would be nice to get away from here but without paying through the roof for it. Not against flying as long as its reasonable, but driving a few hours wouldnt bother me either. Probably head down Friday evening after work, then hit the links early

All input appreciated!

also wouldn't be opposed to a 2 day intensive golf school, that would be a ton of fun

We have two openings in our August 28 school. You could play Sunday morning and still be back in town early evening. Small chance due to the 7 or 8-hour drive, I know, but I thought I'd mention it.

Keith,

I have heard good things about courses in Rhode Island. Two that have been recommended are:

Laural Lane - http://www.laurellanecountryclub.com/

and

Meadowbrook - http://www.newenglandgolfguide.com/f...dow-brook.html

They are close to Foxwoods, so if you want something to do at night!!!

Where in MA have you played the most rounds? I have a NE golf bucket list that if time was available and $ was not much of a thought I would love to do. Places like: Belgrade Lakes and Dunegrass in ME, Pinehills in Plymouth, Taconic in Williamstown, Crumpin-Fox, Granite Links all in MA, Isle of Lakes (near Foxwoods).

Why don't you consolidate two courses to play with one stayover for each day: Western MA, Maine, the Cape area, or CT are a few good golf areas - new courses that are not too far away from home. Plus, in CT you could hit either Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun if you're so inclined.

    • Day 67, July 31, 2021 More three-quarter swing stuff today. I really am trying to shorten the backswing.
    • What a shot into 18 with all that pressure.  Great playing Xander.
    • One of the people who introduced me to golf in the first place would regularly do things that are generally bad etiquette:  try to make me mad during the round, talk during my swing, etc.  The good news is that now, when someone does things like making noise while I'm swinging my accident, it doesn't annoy me unless they're trying to mess me up (which no one has done, at least to my knowledge).
    • In OK, schools are not legally allowed to require masks, even for those who are too young to get vaccinated.  😞 I'm glad to hear that the vaccine can make keys stick to your head.  Maybe it will work on the five simple keys from a while back?
    • And almost as if Florida is trying to double down on it, -->   Being a resident of SW Missouri, I guess I shouldn't throw stones.  It's almost like they're having a competition, except they've forgotten that LSW.
