I think his kids may be on his mind... That is one of the hardest parts about divorces, the children. I could not imagine living without my kids in my daily life, if you do not have kids its hard to understand... I think people are forgetting that Tiger is not 20 something anymore and as you get older your priorities change in life. Sometimes people need to fall before it all makes sense to them!

Well said. Kids are the victims in divorce, they did no wrong.

So, how much $$ did she get?

Details weren't disclosed, other than shared custody of the children. A pre-nup was in place for $20M, but there is speculation she re-negotiated and received $200M - $300M plus one of their homes in Florida. It could have been worse, Tiger's estimated to be worth $1B+, so anything less than half is a victory for Tiger.

So, will Tiger finally be able to get past his past and entertain us once again in a way only he knows how?

I feel like in the last month he's become a lot more serious about his game, as well he should be. He's been sucking.

I also feel like most of it was mental (not being focused) as you don't just lose the entire golf swing in a 6 month lay off. You are rusty for sure, but in no way did you lose your knowledge of how your swing works. At least a professional shouldn't. He may have lost something in his swing, but it's not like he's washed up. That's where a swing coach comes in.

Again, now that he's divorced he can try and move on and I think he's realizing how much he wants to finish out his professional career as strong as he started it.

If you mean while on the course, yes. He still has to have a life though. Golfing 10 hours a day isn't fun. Let me correct that. Practicing 10 hours a day isn't fun. I'd say tour players play/practice/warmup about 7-8 hours a day during the season. Some days its even 10 hours. But when they take breaks, they are usually at least a week but typically two and they sometimes don't even pick up a club. Still, it would be hard to have much of a life outside of golf as a touring pro. One who wanted to keep his card anyways.

Call me crazy, but he will be hot again sometimes soon. Now he can get back to his routine, which is practice, plays in certain tournaments, and of course, get laid wherever he goes. In that order, he will win tournaments like he did back in the days.

I don't think it's the knee either. If it was truly bothering him or affecting his swing we'd be able to see it on TV. People are underestimating the mental stress of signifcant life changes. Especially ones that hurt but have to be done to move on. Here's my post from the thread I started which should be deleted. Didn't see this one.

I hope tiger raises a little tiger or tigress, and they go on tour. But to do that, he will have to sacrifice his game. I think he will.

TMZ says ~$100M. Tiger's only worth about $600M (ha, "only"), and he made a lot of that money before he married Elin.

I'd like to be worth only $600M. I guess he lost some prior to the divorce, because I'd read last year he was worth $1B, and in the Reuters article they reported $1B as well. Tough situation, wish them both well, for the kids sake.

No, they said he'd MADE $1B. Income. If you have all of the money you've ever made, raise your hand...

Taxes, expenses, donations... Quite conceivable that he'd lose 40% of the $1B earned to those things.

    • However, have you ever considered using small summer houses for such setups? They offer a great solution for creating dedicated practice areas, especially for an affluent audience looking to enhance their outdoor living space.
    • I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.
