Lately my swing has started coming together. During my practice sessions, practice rounds, and practice swings, my swing really feels good and i am confident that it will produce a good shot. The only problem is, when i actually stand over the ball and start to swing, my swing feels out wack.

It usually feels like it has to do with my grip. When i get to the top of my backswing, sometimes, the club slides around in my hand and causes all sorts of bad shots to happen(usually snap hooks). When i try to keep the club from sliding around, by taking a shorter backswing and holding on to club more firmly i will chunk and top the ball alot.

Please help. I can play fine by myself, or with freinds casually, but when i am playing in a high school golf match, things never come together for me and i am always struggling with something.

what should i do?

thanks

    • Correct. They are all basically set to 40 psi. Only times they aren't are with the old Taylormade wrenches from the cylinder movable weight days. Those were set to 30. They would still work I would guess without issues. However the 40s did cause issues with the cylinder weights back then.
    • Someone find footage of every major Jack won to analyze the putts his competitors made… Come on…this is silly. Chris didn’t play well enough to win, but one more putt was all he needed, or one missed by Tiger. And he played four under, while Tiger played one under. It was very close and even went to a playoff. Tiger wasn’t handed anything. Maybe Chris mishit a few putts, but every golfer do, Tiger included. It’s not like Chris wanted to lose.
    • That's nice! I have always rode with my golf buddies in a cart, even last year before I was vaccinated.
    • Do you remember the discussion in this thread about the upcharge on power golf carts for a single rider during the pandemic?  On Tuesday I walked into the pro shop and right up to the head pro and complimented him and gave him a shout-out for never up charging me once during the pandemic. And then I paid him full price for a cart rental and went and hopped in it with Mark, both of us fully vaccinated, and drove off to #1 tee. First time in a year I shared a cart.
    • For me the shape of the sole and leading edge on the M6 9 wood makes it much easier and consistent to hit out of the rough compared to the hybrids. It seems to glide better through the tall grass, and doesn't get wrapped up and pulled closed or open as easily.
