It's also weird that they claim he is only 4 feet tall.  I knew he was short-looking, but not that short.  Also not sure why they thought it necessary to write it as a fraction, but whatevs.

At 4 foot tall, the 200lb figure would make sense.

I think this might be a borderline post - I see what he's getting at, but it's a little on the extreme side and what he's demonstrating looks weak, arms bent, little extension. What say ya'll?

Yes that A4 looks a little odd but I get the intent of what Leadbetter is doing here. He's been teaching for 30-40 years and he's probably just tired of seeing guys snatch the club in at 2, then go shallow to steep. So he developed this "swing" in order for higher handicappers to change the picture. Hands in, stand the shaft up so it has to shallow on the downswing. Problem is golfers that come "over the top" will do so no matter what the shaft alignment is at A4 because of how their bodies tends to work. They don't get their weight forward enough and they aren't open enough, will have have consequences with the path of the club on the downswing.

So play the ball a little farther back in your stance than a driver and hit down on the ball......thanks Sergio :-\

Umm, I believe that is 100% incorrect in the way he phrases it. I would say 3-woods are easier to curve because of the smaller clubhead and lower MOI. It is harder to curve than a driver because of the added loft. The MOI out weights the loft.

Point him towards your thread Mike! Show him the light on how to properly grip the club ;)

WTF, Haney? I thought the more loft you have the less curve you'll produce, all else being equal. Weird tweet.

@mvmac said it I think but I wish someone had responded to say something like "Dangit! No wonder I snap hook my sand wedge all the time!"

Ha ha yeah that was in our text group. Damn wedges, always hooking off the planet with all that loft.

Also some of you may not know but Tiger had a weak/slightly palmy grip under Haney and was laid off at 4. So he's basically telling Tiger to go back to what he did when they were working together.

Yeah no wonder why I hit my putter so straight.

Don't do this.

Ok, that one is pretty bad. Who knew the key to better shots was to tap the back foot.

Is that key #6, tap the back foot ;)
