Just venting. I love and care very much for and about my step-daughter and the court system continually ••••s her over. My wife and I are A+ parents competing against a mentally and emotionally abusive C- parent at best, and my kid keeps getting hosed.

Sorry to hear about whatever it is that set this off, you have my sympathy. "The system" really does not handle kids well enough in any of its capacities (custody, protective services, etc).

My thoughts dont apply to kids, but the whole court system in general. "What is right, is not always legal, and what is legal, is not always right."

figured it was a vent of some sort......

i know where u are coming from, as I used to be one of "those kids" w the -C parents.....except mine were F's
courts wouldnt do shit for me and my sister, so we basically raised ourselves and spent as little time at home w them and with my aunty and uncle, who were trying to get custody of us.......courts couldnt have it

as soon as i was 18 i was gone and havent looked back
anyways....too much info for here

I am in the exact same boat Iacas! My step-son's dad is a piece of crap and the courts and child support people do absolutely nothing! It's ridiculous!!
