Spent 2 hours practicing today and left feeling really frustrated. I wasn't successful with the drill I worked on, and I felt like my instructor wasn't communicating the ideas too well. Or I wasn't listening too well (more likely).

I really want to get better at golf, and I know it requires alot of practice, but it just sucks working your tail off for 2 hours and feeling like you accomplished nothing. As much as I tell myself to think long term, I can't help but want that immediate gratification. It's going to be a challenge for me to accept setbacks and slow, gradual improvement.

BTW, if anyone's actually reading these blogs and wondering how I have time to practice everyday... I work either 2nd or 3rd shift M-F, but always have my mornings free.

Anyway, Fantasy Golf again this weekend. Zach Johnson's doing OK for me, but I had Rickie Fowler and Lucas Glover first round (they both shot like 5 over). Switched them out for Chad Campbell and Stewart Cink.

Sounds like you've hit lots of balls for five days in a row. I admire your dedication, but you may have hit a "mental fatigue" snag.

Might be time to take a day or two off to refresh mentally.

Focus, connect and follow through!
