My thinking on the R11, it will get dirty so fast cause of the White paint job.  So Are you a clean guy?

I have spoken to some better players who aren't really attached to the TM brand but, they all had nothing but good things to say about the R11in terms of feel and performance. There are mixed feelings about the white paint though???

I had similar thoughts.  I have played the SuperTri with the MotoreF1 and really liked it.  You have to swing it pretty hard.  I ended up buying last year's Superfast TP and prefer the way it plays.  That is my preference.  I agree with the posts regarding buying Taylor new releases.  If you like the club, and you will play it for awhile, its probably a non-issue.  Otherwise, expect a significant drop in price within the first year- makes it difficult to accept if you are not convinced and need to make a change.

The R11 is going to be a good driver, no matter what. TaylorMade is quality equipment; when was the last time they put out a crap product? The only suggestion I'll make is to get a good shaft for it. The shaft is far more important than anything else, all the weighting and adjustment stuff is nice but if you're not paired up with the proper shaft, you'll always be fighting yourself.

As someone said earlier, I'd wait until the price goes down. They come out with a new model every year, I hit the R9 and still love it. Hell, I just ordered a Fubuki for it so I'm sticking with it until something else completely blows me out of the water.

Couldn't agree more. I feel like everyone says they "know" this, but I see so many people buying a driver based on how new it is or how it looks. On the other side, there are few golfers out there who actually know how to test a club based on the shaft. The "best" and most expensive shaft is not always the one for YOU.

I bought my R9 last season and put a Miyazaki Kusala 72 on it and know where 90% of my drives are going. I demoed the R11 a while ago and had more distance but less feel. Computer said I was on average about 10yds longer at a lower swing speed too.

I love TM and have yet to find a driver that would make me end my 15 year "relationship" with for. Congrads on the buy. I'd stay away from driver off the deck if you want to keep it nice.

I just purchased an R11 this morning, 9* Stiff, I couldnt wait to get to the range tonight.

All I can say is OMG!! it sits perfectly at address and is so easy to line up. I played around with the weights, sole plate and shaft, after an hour of hitting balls I have left it as the standard set up.

I tried it first on one of the projector machines and liked it so much I took a big gamble and parted with the cash. My old driver iis a R7 CGB Max and i have loved it since purchasing it 2nd hand a couple of years ago.

I am playing in a comp tomorrow and cant wait to get out there, next week i will most likely be sorting a new shaft as I think that is one of the most important things.

Only problem i see is if i put a new grip on with the allignments on it, when you change the shaft setting into club head for loft it will off set the grip, but once settled I am sure I can live with this.

The paint finish is matt and I noticed some people on here saying about getting dirty, i dont think this will be a problem as after hitting it tonight it cleaned up just like any otherpaint finish with no problems.

After taking it out today all I can say is wow!

Very happy with it, I could not fault the performance. i hit 12 fairways today the most I think I have ever hit, and we have 4 par 3's on the course, so missing 3 is great at my level.

The club is heavier than my r7, but through the swing and at address it gives so much more confidence. Next to make sure I prefer the standard set up then to put my own shaft and grip on.

Yea, one day I owned the R9, and didn't like it, so the next day I bought the R11, and the Burner Superfast.....PLEASE....I'd pick a driver, make sure you get properly fitted and pick the right shaft for your swing, and stick with it, break it in and don't get a new driver every other week. Yes, new drivers come out every three months, and it's tempting to get the "new" technology, but that's just my opinion.

I bought the R-11, for me I believe it will be a game changer.  I had been playing a Callaway IZ.   The ball jumps off the face and is very easy to control.  It actually goes where you want it too.  I would be hard pressed to give this one up.   I reviewed it in Sandtrap, check it out.

Hit the r11 stiff..... wow it plays like a regular or senior flex. the 9* was launching at 20* for me.

The TP was much better with launch angle. Guess thats why it is 100$ more.

I'm going to go back sometime this week with my shafts and compare the numbers to my supertri, r9, and r9 460

r7 Superquad for the win!

No seriously, I still have this driver and love it. TP version, 75g stiff. Very expensive when I got it back in 2007 (first 460 driver with MWT i think). However, since I am still hitting it and don't plan on switching anytime soon, I definitely got my money's worth. All of these drivers are 460cc now with the MWT, so I don't see a reason to get the r11 over a cheaper r9 or r7 unless you plan on using it for several years. People who got the r9 should probably hold off too. Maybe I'm missing the point... or I just have not been dazzled by the white clubhead yet.

I don't buy clubs often, and I probably won't get a new driver until it breaks or gets banged up. No reason to, my whole bag is fit perfectly for my game and I don't blame the clubs.

I was able to the a 9* R11 as well.  Pretty new feel from TM, much more solid and I really liked the feedback in the head.  The stock stiff was generating launch angles around 15-16* for me, with spin around 3300 rpm, clubhead speed around 109 and carry ~ 275.  Dispersion was wider than my R7 425, but that is likely a shaft issue.

I wasn't able to try the TP, but I'd really like to.

So i took my shaft and heads to the local golf store and compared them with the r11.

Long story short, i gain about 2mph clubhead speed with the r11 and hit it about 8 yards further than my supertri.

launch was about 14, and spin about 2900 (115mpg swing speed). that was with my RIP alpha 60x

this being said, i'll stick to my supertri until they come out with a 460cc r11 in 6 months

just hit the R11 for the first time tonight. hit it on the monitor side by side with my current driver, along with the superfast 2.0, 2.0 TP, Razr Hawk, Nike Vr Pro, and the Machspeed black. i'm now in save mode for the R11. with a 103 average swing speed using the 9*...was getting a great launch angle for me at around 12.5-13 degrees and getting about 245 carry...i cannot wait to get this thing.
