Saw this in a magazine yesterday. I'm not a huge fan of the Wilson Staff stuff, but this thing looks pretty sweet in the way it helps you line up the putt. Not sure if I like the head shape or not, but I tend to like mallets if they're not super heavy.

The slot in the top shows you if your eyes are directly over the top of the putter with the color on the lower level. If you see red you're eyes are either inside or outside. If you just see the silver you're aligned.

(Sidenote-hit a Wilson Staff Spine last weekend and other than the wierd sound it makes it hit well)

Oh yeah? Did you try it out anywhere or are you just going to pick one up? No one sells them within 60 miles of me unless you pre order it, so I can't even find one to test out.

I'm going to pick one up via internet. I have one of their older Kirk Currie KC1's with weight kit and it's the best blade putter I've ever used. Haven't used the thing in 4 yrs, but won't part with it. All their stuff is top notch. I just got rid of my Ci9 irons and am waiting on delivery of the Di11 irons and 2 nnew TW9 wedges. I'm a FAN and feel they don't get thier just due in the golf equipment business like they used to.

I've been mulling over the Vizor putter for months now, as my current Yes! putter has been letting me down (or vice versa) as of late, to the point where my buddy was insisting that a new putter was the answer.  When I mentioned the Vizor to him, he scoffed at me, as you would expect an odessey ***** to do.

Turns out he later happened to be xmas shopping at RD golf, was testing putters so he could make a reco for me, and just this weekend when we exchanged xmas gifts, he told me his experiece.  He told me he didn't like any of the new PING or Odessey putters they had, but that he was surprised to see that they also had the W/S Vizor putter, since pretty much no one carries wilson stuff out here.  He then proceeded to tell me how dead wrong he was about the Vizor putter, and that it was pretty money.  Said he holed a 30 foot on the practice green on his first stroke, and lipped the 2nd.  He couldn't believe it.  Said I needed to get to RD and try it out myself.

The next day, I went to RD and was absolutely floored.  Originally I had been thinking about the blade version, since my Yes! Tiffany was a similar style, and the mallet head looked way to big for my liking (in pics).  My buddy, a blade fan, told me the mallet was better than their blade, and he was right.  Turns out the issue for me was weight, and while the blade version was acting the same way as my Yes! putter, the heavier mallet was steady through the stroke and all roll.  In addition the mallet head was MUCH smaller than I originally thought, and not at all distracting. I too holed my first (and second) 25 footer, and after about 45 minutes trying other putters, I was sold on the W/S Vizor.

Went home and ordered the 33" mallet, with along with a Winn jumbo grip from budget golf since they have an instant $50 rebate, 15% off one item, and free shipping over $100.  Can't wait to get that bad boy in the bag and out on the course.

Gimmick or not.  I absolutely love this thing!

While my wife is doing her "30 day yoga challenge" I've decided to do a "30 day putting challenge" and have committed to an hour of putting every day this month, so yes, I gave them my money, but now I'm putting in the work.

I have to say, I can already feel the difference in my putting already using the Vizor.  The sight alignment is taking the quess work out of my set up, which has helped my routine and my confidence.  The heavier weight of the head has made me less twisty on my backstroke, and after practicing for a few days doesn't feel as "Heavy" as i initially thought.  The weight and the insert are also providing a much better feel that the c-grooves on my old Yes! putter.

Same concept as the SeeMore, which has been around for many years.  Red is dead, your setup is off.

The SeeMore doesn't make putts for me, but it did make me conscious of flaws and inconsistencies in my setup.  You still have to put a good stroke on it, but it takes out one variable.

Yeah the SeeMore and Vizor are designed to do two completely separate things. SeeMore ensures that the putter face is square (to your eyes, not necessarily the target). The Vizor ensures that your eyes are directly above the ball and that the face is square.

Actually I have two of the Vizor putters. I am a big wilson guy. We are rare. I play the fg tour irons and DXI super light driver and dxi fairwoods. As for the putter, what it really helps me with is the ability to get more feed back to my mind as to what I am looking at and what I see. The mind plays funny games in this game. I have dropped a few strokes on the putting green but this putter really helps at set up. They do make a Vizor in a blade as well. If nothing you could use it as a practice tool to help your alinment and maybe you will like it enough to use all the time. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Agree.....Wilson Staff is much better golf equipment (including several of the balls) than they get credit for.....brand apparently needs a marketing makeover of some kind because they def. dont get much if any respect....yet consistently produce solid products, IMO.

I am "Seriously" considering the Vizor putter...I currently putt with a Odyssey Metal X #7 and this putter works well for me...but I remember putting with a Vizor in the local Edwin Watts store a while back and I liked the set up and the way it rolled but was not really looking at Wilson Staff at the time...I since have found the Ci11 irons which were truly made for me and my game...so now I am on the hunt to make my bag all Wilson Staff...the most underrated golf company in golf! But shhhhhhhhhh..dont tell anyone as I like it that way!!! Seriously!

    • I saw something about a paid version with putting help and green heat maps.   Definitely looks interesting.
    • His excuse is several months out of date.  I understand the hesitation for a lot of people from something injected into you.  My wife and I looked into the science, made our decision to get it as soon as we are eligible and did it.  I admit I was nervous.   I did it anyway.   Bryson should just say he’s an anti-vaxxer or scared.  Better than saying tripe like that. Brooks should call him chicken….
    • I checked out the app and I guess you can keep score with it and the GPS.
    • Bryson honey, that is so much BS!  My friend that I played golf with on Monday says he takes vitamin D so therefore he is immune.  I drink red wine... so I'm good too.  Or at least I'll die in a stupor...
    • Been working on this more in the evenings. Hitting a lot of pitch shots then moving into the full swing. It looks like I could still shorten it up somewhat, does the right arm look to bent at the top here?
