First of all, let me say hello to all! i'm new here.

My question is, how do I increase power yet keep good tempo and form?  I recently overcame a slice that I had.  After taking a year break from playing hard, I finally hit the ball straight.

Now my problem seems to be my shot alignment.  I'll pull the ball wicked hard to the left as if to compensate for a slice, but I hit it straight now.  I focus hard on aiming properly down the fairway but sometimes it just doesn't work.

I'm thinking maybe I play the ball too far forward in my stance and I'm hitting the ball with a closed face? Or maybe I'm trying to snap through the ball and turn my hips too quickly?

Anyone have a good routine to get alignment before a drive?

Also, what drills can I do in order to work on distance?  I'm 6'3" 180lbs, in great shape (i'm an infantry Marine...20 pull ups, 100 crunches in 2 min, 19:00 3 mile run time) so I feel like I should be hitting further than 250yds.  I've occassionally reached out to 300 yards but its far and few between.

I'll try to post up a video of m swing for some analysis.  But right now I'm just looking for little advice and drills/tips.

Thanks ya'll!!
