I know Justin wasn't well-liked (even I don't like him much), but I understand why he was pissed.  It's tough knowing you have a full point disadvantage.  It has to be frustrating.  But, he let's things get under his skin too much and it cost him.  If he was as good as he thought he was he needs to be unaffected by those things.

It sounded like "Sheba" to me.  But being an avid watcher of "The League," I'm hoping it was "Shiva."

I think the point thing is lame. I also think it was perhaps dumb to spend $3k on half a point. I guess we'll see how things shake out...

Glad Robbie pulled through - quite easily. Expensive point which he didn't need. Great shot from the waste bunker

Justin was entertaining. I'll leave it at that

Justin was a chump.  Irritated with everyone for one thing or another.  Adios.  The half point thing reared it's ugly head again this week.  What a waste by Shank.  Hate that for him.  The half stroke gives you an advantage.  The only way buying the other half point helps is if you get behind.  Gotta have more confidence in your game than that if you're going to be on this show.

Justin's act was getting very old, although that's at least partially due to the producers editing the show with the knowledge he was leaving early. In any case, I'm glad to see him go.

My guess is the editing is true for pretty much all of them, it's just singular in scope.

I actually have no problem with Justin "only" shaking the hand of his competitor but not gazing into his eyes.  While he may be a douchebag in other ways, I had no problem with that part of it.

Russell, can you give us a "what's in the bag" of some of your competitors?  I can't find anything online. Probably to do with Adams sponsorship of the show.

"Come back little Sheba" is an old movie, that's what Shank is referring too.  Question: Who is a professional in the group?  Who is a PGA qualified pro?  The winner, when accepting the $$, prizes, whatever, loses his amateur standing I would guess, unless he's already a pro?  Currently rooting for Carl (the tears for Shank were too much though), Oren the hustler, the little Canadian.  Watch out for John the guitar player, he's the quiet dude, with no colorful past, bet he wins.

I think everyone effectively "turns pro" the day they begin the competition. Someone said something about how "today is my first day as a professional golfer" I believe...

Wasn't John (the guitar player) Will's overall first pick for his team?  He mentioned something about the guy having "played in actual tour events" or something.  Has he been on the PGA/Nationwide tour?

I agree it's lame, but I think Robbie was smart to buy the extra 1/2 point because it put Justin into a rage and took him off his game, which is exactly why Carl suggested it.  In this case since it was first to three points it was a much better value than it would have been previous weeks.   I don't think Robbie was too confident he could beat Justin head to head and wanted every advantage he could get.

The guy with the most tour experience appears to be Kent Eger from Saskatchewan province in Canada: Here's a bit from the Golf Channel/BB bio on him: [QUOTE]At 25, he turned professional and moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., to compete on the Gateway Tour and the Canadian Tour. He has recorded five victories on the Gateway Tour, two victories on the Canadian Tour and is the lone Big Break competitor to have played in a Major Championship – the 2010 U.S. Open. • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
