Just started downloading it for my droid X in which the update just came out for... Anyone else used android 2.3 yet? How is it? What are the differences?

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I've been using 2.3 for probably 6 months now.  One of the biggest differences that you can see regularly is the cursor and copy/paste functions, as well as the keyboard.  I believe the keyboard supports multi-touch input now and there are some other differences to it that I can't remember because I've been on it for so long.

Under the hood, Gingerbread (2.3) supports partial GPU-acceleration.  So, some animations and renders are faster because they're offloaded to the GPU.

There are some cosmetic effects as well: the status/notification bars are now black and there are some new scrolling animations.  Also, the screen-off animation has a 1960's TV feel to it.
