Callaway 56 and 60 degree X-tours. I was surprised by how much of the ball remains in the grooves after I hit it. I have only hit range balls with it so I'm excited to see what kind of spin I can get with a softer ball.

I have a set of Adams by Tom Watson that I've used for about a year. I just recently replaced the 60 degree in that set with a 58 degree Titleist Vokey Spin Milled wedge that I am expecting to preform magic with on the close shots.

Vokeys are the way to go if you don't have problems with ball striking. I also have a set of CG10s that I like, but the Vokeys get a lot more spin and feel like I have a little more behind the ball and the shot.

I had always used Cleveland 588 RTG wedges, but tried a Mizuno wedge and it felt so much better to me. I'm keeping my 51 degree Cleveland in the bag so I have a club that I don't mind hitting out of lies where I may catch a rock or other sticky situation.

I have both a Nike and Callaway.. the Callaway is great for bump and runs, and I use the Nike primarily for anything <60 yards out. Whenever I use the callaway on the range, it seems either to be a hit or miss type of thing, so I'm still working on it.

Got the Callaway for 60 bucks barely used at a golf store, so i couldnt pass it up haha

I currently have a 52 degree and 60 degree Titleist Vokey Oil Can design in my bag along with a 56 degree Taylor Made RAC Black. I am looking to change myself probably before the start of the new season so this is going be interesting to see what is going to be the best choice. I like the look of the Spin Milled Vokey's but I always hear about Cleveland being the best wedge in the market. What does everyone think?

I don't know what the plans are for our group on Friday but even if we don't make it for dinner with the rest of the Friday arrivals, I'll be more than happy to meet up somewhere for a beer or something.
    • Taking your dispersion and distance in consideration I analyzed the 4 posible ways to play the hole, or at least the ones that were listed here. I took the brown grass on the left as fescue were you need to punch out sideways to the fairway and rigth of the car path to be fescue too.  Driver "going for the green"  You have to aim more rigth, to the bunker in order to center your shotzone in between the fescue.  Wood of 240 over the bunkers I already like this one more for you. More room to land between the fescue. Balls in the fescue 11% down from 30% with driver. Improve of score from 4.55 to 4.40. 4 iron 210 yards besides the bunkers.    Also a wide area and your shot zone is better than previous ones. This makes almost the fescue dissapear. You really need to hit a bad one (sometimes shit happens). Because of that and only having 120 yards in this is the best choice so far. Down to 4.32 from 4.40. Finally the 6 Iron 180 yards to avoid all trouble.    Wide area an narrow dispersion for almost been in the fairway all the time. Similar than the previous one but 25 yards farther for the hole to avoid been in the bunkers. Average remains the same, 4.33 to 4.32.  Conclusion is easy. Either your 4iron or 6 iron of the tee are equaly good for you. Glad that you made par!
