Did Stevie Williams not go to the press and say that he has wasted the last 2 years of his life etc? I also heard Tiger say that they "had said what had needed to be said"?

really? i'm not sure i can agree with that. yeah, you've got some old guys who could benefit from winning a half recognized event that doesn't get you into any majors or wgc's. on the other hand you'v

Tiger has been civil, Stevie has whined a bit and taken on the role of a jilted ex, i.e. not so civil.

Don't know about you guys, but the leaderboard at the Reno-Tahoe event is much more compelling than Firestone......look at all those guys that can absolutely change their golf careers with a win......Mackenzie, Flesch, Elk, Riley...Notah Begay for god's sake........OK, Elk doesn't need the win for the career, but compelling nonetheless...

using that logic: Jason Day, Rickie Fowler, Ryan Moore, Keegan Bradley, & Martin Laird, all of whom have fewer than 2 professional wins.

i know what i'm gonna be watching tomorrow.

hilarious, the next day he claimed that adrenaline and the heat was precisely the cause of him hitting his irons too far.  nice try to misrepresent his quote though.

Or Luke Donald, who has the low round of the day and is in 4th place

Since he missed the eagle putt, meh*.

*logic used by Phil haters to downplay his shot at The Masters.

I'm not a 'Phil hater' or whatever you like to call it, but I don't believe that shot itself was as great as made out. It was the situation it was in that made it great. The shot itself was just a long iron from a decent lie in pinestraw. The trees weren't even in his line. The amount of people that believe that shot is great because "he hit it through the trees" baffles me. It was great because it was on the back 9 of the Masters setting up an Eagle chance.

Back on topic:

Would they ever show Luke Donald ffs. He's the world number 1 and is in contention and I haven't seen him once

Whoever's directing this needs a word in their ear.

Regularly showing Kaymer who's +1 whilst completely ignoring Donald and McIlroy, both still in contention. As a WGC, I think coverage is shared between American and European networks, so I'm not sure who's in control, but it's poor it has to be said.

In Phil's defense, he has said the same thing many times -- something like "it was a 6 iron, the margain for error was ennormous"......sorry for the off-topic

    • Interestingly, I’d say there are more people at my golf club that have chosen not to get jabbed than at the pool hall.
    • I'll guarantee you that the unvaccinated are whipping off their masks, too.
    • I hope it doesn't come to having to carry the vaccine card but at this point the people that aren't vaccinated have had the opportunity (except for a few exceptions) and are taking the risks upon themselves.    I've done my part to protect myself, family and friends.
    • I've been Playing Golf for: 4 years My current handicap index or average score is: 85 My typical ball flight is: Draw/hook The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Hook/push/slice Hi everyone, I changed to an in to out path in order to learn to draw and I developed a very nasty hook over the last 18 months (also flipping wrists at impact at times which I am learning to reduce). Now that I've been trying to change it I've been hitting some fades but I would like to know what you all think of the swings in this video. Unfortunately, no ball so I don't know where these would have gone. I'm relatively happy with the backswing and I think there is something about the downswing and release which is causing me issues. I want to learn to change this path to in-to-in and get back to hitting straight! After working on steepening the path a little a couple of weeks back, I started slicing my drives after hitting them pretty straight or with a draw for 18 months, and I've included one horrible one in this post which started straight and went way right. I can see that there's a lot of out-to-in on the path of that one and would also love a couple of ideas of how to bring that back to straight if possible. I've found that hitting with confidence has straightened it out towards the end of my last round, but I was still hitting a bit out-to-in. Overall the combination of these videos show where I am at. Trying to get back to hitting straight after dabbling in the world of horrible hooks with the odd lovely draw.  https://youtu.be/3k_zppbWl3w https://youtu.be/gvHuY36k9T4 https://youtu.be/E_z77EKNrZo Thanks a lot in advance for any advice you can give!     Videos:
    • But I still want to know how we can tell the vaccinated from the unvaccinated? Will the latter be wearing a scarlet letter "U"  on their chest?
